How do you react / look at reviews that are either significantly lower or higher than what a provider has consistently received in the past? Beauty / performance in the eye of the beholder?

YMMV! Every tryst included. Some variances are extreme, some not so much but for countless reasons EVERY experience will differ from another. That can be a good thing BTW. How boring if every session were the same. Rather robotic in fact. BOOOORRRING!  

I think I know how your curiosity came about. "wink, wink" Another thing to keep in mind is not everyone is going to click. That's chemistry for ya. Or lack there of. No biggie.

I think there must have been a personality clash or they just were not a good match.

It's impossible to generalize. For lower than usual scores, there are a few guys out there who seem to enjoy underscoring. When I see Poppy get a 7 for appearance, or Trinity get a 6 for performance, and then I read the text and it is just as glowing as all their other reviews, I think the guy is an asshole. Especially if I look at his history and see he consistently scores low. Refusing to give a 10 is one thing. Giving a 6 when the text says she got you off twice and "blew your mind" is something else entirely.  

But often you read the text and it makes it clear there was a reason for the lower score, even if it just means she had one bad day. I'll take that at face value, though one of those probably won't stop me from seeing her.  

Two or more lower scores back-to-back is cause for concern.  

Higher than average scores I chalk up to the subjective nature of scoring. Writing a review while the testosterone is still humming will do that. Writing a review of the first woman ever to grace you with her favor is hard to do objectively. I can think of at least one score I have given that, with the passage of time, I wouldn't give again, though it's not far out enough to bother changing. Or, you know, maybe they just really connected and she deserved that score from that guy on that day.  

Where it gets really confusing is when a lady consistently gets both 8/9s and 5/3s. There's a touring lady in town with that kind of history. I don't know what it means, but it sure kills any desire to meet her.

I too see evidence of low-ball scoring.  I guess the best can be said about such fellow is, they are (often) consistent.  But then I have to wonder... if someone like Portia is a 5 for Appearance, and Trinity a 6 for Performance... what would this guy consider an 8, or 9??  I guess if he saw Venus de Milo at the Louvre, he'd rate it "Average" as a sculpture.   :-P

When I see a lower than usual score for a provider, I look at the review for the reason.  Could be the guy had a poor experience and scored accordingly.  I often see that with some otherwise highly rated providers... they seem to have "off days" occasionally.  Could happen to anyone.  It happened to me once... I chalked it up to her having a bad day, and gave her a lower than normal (for her) Performance score that I thought was generous, and a high Appearance score.

The head scratchers for me are the low scores from a guy who doesn't seem to be a low grader in general, and the review itself is very positive.  Guys, if you give a lady lower scores than what is typical for her, please explain why!  

The low scoring reviews that really get my dander up are the ones that give a low performance score when the reviewer admits the lady was great in all respects, except he didn't like her boundaries... and he knew about the boundaries going in

Well I can think of one recent review that comes to mind. My take is that it's either a fake or the guys an idiot. But that's just my opinion. To each his own I guess.

That can tell you a lot.  For example, a poor score from someone who has never reviewed before is probably a hatchet job IMHO.

You will also have outliers among any set of reviews.  I usually don't pay much attention to them unless the reviewer is someone whose history I find particularly useful or unless it starts to become a trend.

My favorite WTF reviews are guys who say they see a girl because of her reviews, describe an experience on par with the rest of her reviews, and then give a lowball score with an explanation like menu, breast size, or height which they knew full well going in.  I imagine the same guy reviewing a 5 star Japanese restaurant: "Excellent service, beautifully prepared food that is the best Japanese food I have ever had, but I really likes me some spaghetti. 2 stars."

I have had good experiences with TER pulling fake reviews off my profile ...
( I never ask for legitimate reviews to be pulled.  I have even contacted fishy TER reviewers, to find out if their review of me, was legit, before I run to TER for help.  I believe in maintaining the integrity of this website, as it has been a great resource for me to use, personally. )

Anyway, there are two 5 / 5 reviews that appear back to back, in my review history.  I am totally sure that they are fake reviews by people who never met me.  My average for looks is about 8.  My average for performance is about 9.  It has always been that way for me, the entire time I have used TER.  5 /5 is so far beneath the mark that it is ridiculous.  I actually found out, around that time that I received random 5 / 5 reviews that I was appearing on one of TER's top 100 lists.  I am suspicious that somebody wanted to bump me down off that list, at that time.

Cineaste you put allot of thought into your reviews and wow are they fun to read.  

& yes, WTF!   Indeed.  Look a my worst review score ever and see the WTF contradiction in the body of the description.
