I dont understand it either. But I will say that I would be guilty as charged on similar offense though.  I will never wear white socks with sandals but have been known to wear wool socks w/ my birks in the early spring/fall.  I think that white socks and sandals are a definite fashion don't and as far as wool socks go, we'll let the real critics decide.
But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

That's about as bad as wearing bermuda shorts with black dress shoes and black socks!!! I have asked my friends to put me away if they ever catch me doing that - it means I am brain dead and actually need to be out away -- HAHA!!

You guys are way wrong.  White cottons are great with sandals, especially in the fall.

You guys kill me! White, black, cotton, wool, socks are socks and they are for shoes.If it's fall, thats the weather god telling you to put the sandals away!!!!!

I agree big time.  Sandles...sand.....not fall or winter with socks.  I laugh at guys when they dress that way.  Its like wearing snow boots with shorts.  Kids who dont know any better do that.  LOL

I think I need some fashion help becuase I think I may have worn boots with shorts.  Oops.

Will someone please explain to me why fashion rules should carry more weight with us than either the Seventh Commandment or Minnesota Statute 609.324 Subd. 3?
