Why the big grins?
It's annoying that LE has nothing to do other than pick off little massage parlors around town .
I mean if they didn't want them to do it
This state would have established licensing and heavier regulations and possible surprise health inspections .
Either way that still doesn't stop anyone from participating or providing.
Waste of time and money.IMHO

I think the "grins" are what the software interpreted the symbols in the URl to be. I doubt anyone is happy about this.

When asked about the tenant who complained to police about "sex noises (emanating from the busted massage parlor), " Steffl said that some of her employees might use elbows during deep tissue massages, and that clients may let out a moan.

That is correct. I didn't put those there.

based on your reasoning LE should not arrest anyone for any crimes because they keep recurring

Exactly !
Just The fact that they can spend up to a year "investigating" and counting the incoming clients before doing anything is just plain BS.
Posing as clients as well as getting AND ASKING for extra favors from the handjob honeys.
I'm wondering upon reading that article Does this mean the boob/taste test doesn't work any longer ?
They aren't supposed to do that I thought.
Seems Sort of like an entrapment scenario .

I'm referring to MASSAGE PARLORS, Independent massage ladies and such. Not any other crime.
I REPEAT:

Busting a massage parlor or a working girl DOES NOT prevent them from returning to the business to commit the same act.

Making it a complete WASTE OF TIME & MONEY.

Establishing a massage license in this state and ENFORCING strict regulations for massage
DOES NOT PREVENT anyone from providing "extras"
because
Some guy WHO NEVER WENT to any type of school convinced the state that you don't need an education for massage since it is spiritual.
This happened about 25 years ago.
The only reason behind lic./regulations for STP and western hen. county Dakota county is because of the old saunas ( Miss R.R.)
my point is the fact that there are thousands of other REAL CRIMES they could be preventing like say HUMAN TRAFFICKING EXPLOITATION OF MINORS ETC ETC..... rather than harassing handjob honeys who WILLINGLY work in an establishment. and at least show yourself before making an assumption  of my reasoning under an alias. :p

LMAO. about the moan"
I'm not surprised about the bust
Because many don't screen properly and have a lot of walk in traffic to and from
I suppose most of those places are easy targets for LE.so it's bound to happen eventually.

The courts ruled some time ago that LE can go quite far to secure a bust.  Working undercover, regardless of what they are investigating, leaves cops a lot of leeway as to what they can do otherwise it would never work.

What are the chances that the vice officers are telling their significant others how far they go in a sting?

Wonder how that would go over if it was shared with their families?  I mean the consesual act is frowned upon and illegal, I would think that morally the way vice goes about their business would have to be just as imorral in the same peoples eyes wouldn't it?  Last I checked marriage vows/religeous commitments don't apply any different to vice officers than it does to people that persue the hobby.

I tried to delete it or edit it before it was approved-apparently that isn't possible.

Anyway, here is essentially what I was going to say:

I am no fan of current prostitution laws, but all the bellyaching isn't doing anything to help the situation.  Your complaints aren't much different from most other people's in this matter, so I'm sorry it is you who I'm responding to out of all the possible people.  It’s really nothing personal, just that the same thing over and over is getting a little old.

Maybe that is because all of these types of posts always have some variant on "I want to get my rocks off and police shouldn't get in the way of that," but nothing further.  It is monotonous, and doesn’t sound all that intelligent; prostitution effects more than just the two consenting adults that are involved.  This is one reason that prostitution laws are in place (and yes, also because the state wants to be the moral Gestapo, I’ll give you that).

But the point is, if people thought a little more broadly when writing those sorts of posts, they would sound a lot less like whining and be a heck of a lot more convincing (and not so monotonous).

I hadn't gotten a happy massage in a while but have tried a few places in recent weeks. Ended up with a little teasing and that's about it.

It seems like a few establishments similar to Bella's have been busted recently, which makes me think massage places will probably stick more to teasing in the near future. Dammit!

Given the way they operated, I'm not surprised they were busted either.  But with the amount of time they were in business after they caught the attention of LE, I wonder how much of the traffic in and out was officers "investigating."  You know...off the record sort of investigating :)

A massage place got busted and the people on here are griping about it and don't think it's right.  Nothing remarkable or unusual about that but the same could be said of the vast majority of the threads on here.

If you want more stimulating conversation about the topic then I suggest you post something of that kind yourself.  So, what sort of broader thinking or justification for current laws come to your mind?
