I am a newbie, and a provider is asking me to go through a screening site, "webcams.com" is this normal, or is this a scam?

Same thing happened to me. I threw my own red flag on the play. Found out later the girl wasn't even a local.

No reputable provider will ask you to use a webcam site or porn site for verification.  WTF ?  This does nothing for her to verify you.  Most of these sites use 2nd party billing services like Ibill, ccbill etc.  She wouldn't have access to your information anyhow.

There are several verification services that are well known and respected nationwide.

rs2k (roomservice 2000) they ask for alot of personal info but the providers do not have any access to it.

preferred 411 - a newer service that is based out of Cananda (like that part).  Also ask for personal info, but again the ladies do not have access to your info except your membership number and Id that you must provide to them.

Date -check - My favorite.  Doesn't require personal info in a provider refers you.  If you let them verify you the provider still has no access to your personal info.  You can also see what providers in your area take date check and all profiles are linked to TER reviews is she has any

All of these sites require that they speak with you on the phone.

Other than that...I wouldn't recommend going to any site and entering your info (especially a porn site).  I am afraid that you will most probably get some charges on your CC and no session
