Too early to tell. Olson was in an impossible situation--in larger cities like Mpls, the Mayor can't fire the chief, but really, once the Mayor has made it clear that he WANTS to fire you but can't, you're in political hell. I'm surprised Olson stayed as long as he did.
less than two years ago said, Dayton is my dream job, this is where I want to work and raise my family, I hope a larger city doesn't need a new chief soon because I doubt either of the two qualified females that were passed over for an out of towner would leave, as they have proved for over twenty years that this is where they want to be.One has to question the value system used by this mayor?
