I am an active hobbiest in the Twin Cities, but I tend to see mostly touring girls, although I have seen a few locals too.  I recently found out that some of the agencies are canceling trips here or are seriously considering doing so, including the agency that represents my ATF.  Now, for the most part I chose not say anything about all the crap that was going on here before because I like to stay as far under the radar as possible, but now it seems there are local providers that are scaring off touring girls.  I'm not sure if this is a by-product of a personal vendetta, mental instability, or whatever...and to be honest, I don't give a shit.  The point is, is that now other people problems have started to effect my life.  So, my advice is to everyone is to chill-the-fuck-out, because pissing-off and messing with people you don't know (even if its unintentional) can be a really bad idea.

Sorry to say with the agencies uneasy about the TC area we may see rates going up!  Remember your Economics here. More demand and less supply will cause price increases.   MacroEconomics 101

It seems to me that it was a "touring lady" that CAUSED the origional problems here that gave the TwinCities the current "stigma" we seem to be under nationally......... I would suggest to these "agencies"' that things have been returning to normal since "she" left!
 I'm sure we still have a "few" locals who are "mentally unstable" (every town has some), but I'm unaware of what problems they pose to these  agencies.........

I think this storm has been brewing for some time and is not over yet.  Some of the allegations floating around have cropped up repeatedly from time to time.  Some people just don't seem to understand the risks in causing trouble; that in can blow up in their faces and attract unwanted attention that is bad for all of us (and I don't mean agencies not sending their ladies to visit the TCs).

well, I was under the impression that Alex M. was an independent.  Besides for me, this isn't an issue of    agencies versus independents - I think they both have upsides and downsides.  The point is that some agencies see this town now as a risk.  Not cool....

and these are the things I want to hear,,, I don't claim to know it all - I hope to be continually educated as to all the "dynamics" related to why this lingering stigma of our area exists.............

I'm asking WHY are the agencies seeing out area as "more risky" than others? It seems "ignorant" on their part to base these alleged decisions on the stir caused by the recent events.
  We can't blame this sudden  change in how we may be viewed nationally on old events that have been "brewing for years" - something "recent" has caused these perceived notions -
 I'm only presenting my theories based on the information that I have and know to be true - but I'm open to  the idea that I may wrong - It wouldn't  be the first time!

That happen due to the aftermath  of the mathews-mental-melt-down that she TRAVELED HERE AND HAD! - again I say, the "problem" came to us from somewhere else, we did not CAUSE the problem here in the TwinCities,,, It wasn't until AFTER Ms. mathews went into self-destruct mode, that Jenny/Camile saw an opportunity to sow her own bitter seeds around town, but I STILL fail to see how these semi-related events is causing the "hysteria" that is causing nationally known agencies to stop cumming to town - As is my policy here on THIS board, I'll continue to let these things be disscussed openly here - hopefully the "knowledge" of the truth will reverse the effects of the "ignorant" perceptions....... Or  at least expose what or who keeps fanning the phantom flames around here!

somewhere else (Alex M), but the fact is that NOW it appears some local providers are taking up their own causes.  It does me no good to blame Alex Mathews for some agencies not coming here when it is local providers scaring them away.  So, if these local girls have another agenda (personal revenge, etc) that they are trying to accomplish, they still have the potential to scare away some of the agencies because they call them directly looking for info on certain hobbiests or by planting seeds that they might give info to LE (this is why agencies are hesitant about this town, and rightly so.  But, I would use the word "cautious" in this instance as opposed to "hysteria").  So, if this is the case, I want it clear that their agendas that very well may be directed towards others are now starting to affect me.  Basically, if provider "A" is fighting with hobbiest "B", their efforts are lessening my potential to see the providers I want to see.  So now they have affected 2 unwilling participants:  me and the traveling provider(s) I want to see.  That is my point.  So, my message to these local providers and whoever they're quareling with:  keep your problems to yourselves and DO NOT mess with other providers/agencies that are uninvolved.  When your problems become MY problems, do not be suprised if I don't just sit back and let it slide.

I hope that they will take this advice, and everyone can go back to doing and seeing whatever and whoever they want.  Honestly, I think that if there are no other problems that the agencies will return rather quickly, especially if there is strong support from their regular customer base.  But if my ATF stops coming here because of some local provider, I will not be pleased...

The problem is just not the fear or threat  that other local providers might be giving to the agencies.  This whole industry is one big rumor mill both on the hobbyist's end and the provider's /agency end. From my end, the rumors and warnings that I have been reading and seeing are borderline lunacy. Some are so over the top that ANYONE with a little common sense would disregard them.  BUT as most of us know...common sense is the LARGEST oxymoron there is.  Common sense isn't very common lol.  One never knows what to take seriously and who will actually go through with the threat. Being cautious is usually the way most people go

For the most part (not all) agencies deal in volume.  With the all hobbyist being a little hesitant to schedule with the traveling agency or provider (most judge this by current prebooks)most of them are hesitant to make the investment in a tour for fear that it will be a flop and no apts will come their way or that they will just break even.

I have been visting the Twin Cities for some time.  Many of my old friends that see me every time I tour your city have sent emails stating that they are scared.  They are just taking it down a notch and do not wish to visit ANYONE until it dies down a little...to please let them know when I will be visiting again. A few went so far as to tell me to be extra careful and maybe not visit for a few months for my own safety. I have NEVER had an issue and am known to respect privacy and have discretion....so I know it isn't me...they are truly scared.  Afterall, they took the time to email me and let me know how they felt and why they felt that way.

I will not be scared away.  I have no reason to be.  I believe that it will go back to normal in a month or so when all the drama and the emailing rumors back and forth dies down.

The Twin Cities is a great place with an incredible hobbying community full of considerate gents.  The ladies that have visited there know this.  It will not stop the ladies from visiting in the long run.  I will miss the old guard as I use to like the activity on this board.  But I understand why they headed for the hills  Something of this nature has happened in every major city that I have toured....they have always recovered quickly....I am hoping that the TC will not be the exception

I wonder if this problem has a root in 2 separate causes.

#1)  Flaky, unstable local providers (not all, but perhaps a few?)

2) A serious downtunr in hobbying activity, due to economic factors.

Here's how these elements fit together:

Prices over the last 2 years or so have gone up, and FAST.  We grumbled, but we payed.  Suddenly, the bottom fell out of the market and fewer hobbyists were available for the local pool.  At the same time, hurricanes whacked FLA, and many, many gorgeous touring girls came to the TC, depressing the market further for the local girls.

Cue the mental instability that at least 1 touring girl exhibited, and probably several local girls.  They perhaps got sick of watching the touring girls take their best customers, and decided to try and run them off with threats and scare tactics.

Viola, we have a shitstorm here in the TC.


That's my hypothsis.

I haven't retired, but I have toned things down--a lot, and I wont submit to verification any more, even though it has cost me the chance to see soem wonderful touring lasses as of late.
