Can't post a review because she has no website.  She works through a couple services that have ads on TCUncovered.  Supposedly was fired from one service today, but may work for another...

Ten minutes into our session, before she'd even undressed, she gets a phone call and answers it.  She comes back and says "We gotta get the show on the road, I have somebody waiting outside."  She looks at her watch literally every 15 seconds for the next few minutes and of course I'm not up yet and not the least bit inclined to be up.  She says, "Look, we need to hurry up here."  Finally I just said forget it and walked out.  $$ for 10 min. of nothing!

Another provider I'd been seeing every week or two referred me to her as her associate...I called her and told her what happened--she apologized profusely and said she would give me a free session next time.  She said that the other client "waiting outside" must have come from another service and she had nothing to do with it.  I'm still angry--it's worse than being mugged.  This provider has now told me that she's fired Ariel...but she's probably still out there working for the "other service".  All I can tell you is that she's 20yrs old, shoulder-length straight red hair, 120lbs, maybe 5'2-5'6, recently arrived here from Bemidji.  Be on the lookout.

I'm not going to mention the name of the provider who referred me to her, so don't ask.  She fired Ariel, so I hold no grudge against her.

The session described by WithoutAPaddle is happening much more here than the really fair and middle to high quality sessions are happening.  My questions are:  

1.  When you read something like this, how does it make you feel about the future of your business?  

2.  Do you have ANY feelings about it?  

3.  Do you feel you are being lumped in with the hundreds of local Rip-Off artists that prey on the TC money?  

4.  Do you realize that most of us can count on one hand the number of legitimate  and fair providers advertizing as locals?  

Now, I understand why we can't seem to get a response from most of you who are legitimate.  Your need for business does not require timely call backs anymore.  BTW, that lack of communication is a turn off for us also.  Somewhat timely call backs suggest, at least, a small amount of respect for us.

Ladies, we really do want to support the locals but it is an absolute MUST that you also support us and make us feel like you're happy we are here.  We are not against you.  I'm not really so angry about this kind of experience anymore.  I'm really very thankful that I have three very good friends who are local SP's out of the five or so who, IMO, are the extent of those who reside in the Twin Cities.  What a ratio in a metropolis of over 1,500,000.  Maybe now you can see why so many of us are seeing mainly traveling SP,s who know on which side their bread is buttered.  Thanks for listening.

In no way am I trying to re-kindle the flaming threads directed at the locals.  I would just really like to hear some answers in a calm and respectful tone.

If you just want to see travelers then just see travelers...but don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.  One airhead provider does not represent the entire local provider community.  And asking local providers how they feel about that story seems pretty damned ignorant to me.  Or do you think it fair to turn the tables and have the providers label all the hobbyists based on one that ripped them off instead?  And then ask you to justify it.  Where do you get your stat of "so many of us only seeing traveling providers".  Did you survey the crowd for that stat?  Or you basing it on one or two locals who agree with your point of view.

I want to thank one local SP who is hiding behind an alias for giving us your thoughts.  SaturdayNightLive was not found in the TER data base.  Now listen ?, if this was just happening with one or two locals, there never would have been thread after thread of hobbyist complaints.  Now who is revealing their cowardly lack of understanding?  Sorry to call a spade a spade, but it is girls like you who drive us to travelers -- not the legitimate ones.  If I guessed wrong and you are actually some guy who has been living with his big head in the sand, I would suggest you come up for air and address the subject in a well mannered way, man to man.  I don't insist that you agree with me but the least you could do is stand behind your comments.

You're an airhead too. I'm not a provider but decided I would post a reply regardless of your sorry attempt to bait a provider into defend what need not be defended.  Ask one of your travelling sweeties why she travels?  Might it be because the local business is lacking from where she calls home?  Can't say that Minnesota is the alluring provider tourist getaway of the world during our cold weather season.  If you've followed the scene for as long as I have, you might also note that there are far more advertising local providers than in recent memory.  And an even more robust nonadvertising provider population in addition.  

Business is not lacking here.  It's booming.  And travelling ladies are enjoying that boom.  They aren't here because they think it's cool to watch their skin turn blue when the winds blow the temps down 70 degrees lower than the temps back home.  

Seems to me if you read the reviews there are just as many stories of woe by those who have contacted the visiting ladies as those of the small population of cons who happen to be local.  And what exactly do you expect a local provider to do to correct what you see as such a clear example of rampant poor service in the Twin Cities?  Seems to me that the only control would be how they individually choose to run their business, that is if they want to stay in business.

I'll leave this post with this disclaimer to the ladies, whether local or travelling.  This post is not a diss of you or how you choose to do business.  You each know what to do in your business to either keep the calls coming or chase clients away.  But this nonsense that a few people whining indicates a total reflection of the quality of service out there is just plain nonsense.

I have no clue if that effects my business or not. Most of the clients I see are in town on business. I see very few local guys.

Makes me glad I am lucky enough to not be in that providers situation. That I can limit how many appointments I have so there is never a problem about appointments so close together.

Very much so, and maybe that explains why I don't see many local guys. Since I am sure there are MANY local girls you have never met such as my self and you(the guys you are talking about)have no idea how well you could be being treated.

I partly agree with cmeflyhigh.  A random traveler is more likely to be good than a random local...  But through the reviews, we can see who the good locals are and it's nice to have them around.  I appreciate them.

There ARE some great local providers...and I've been seeing a few who have been aware of this traveller vs. local debate--and they've STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE!  Some of these locals have realized what they need to do and they're offering better services and being kinder and more professional... and those women are keeping their appointment books full, making $300 an hour while the scammers and bad providers must rely on having first-timers.  It's so SIMPLE how to make us become repeat customers...

I think mostly the issue stems from ignorance (but also laziness and greed)...  Providers don't realize that just the few, tiniest and simple things can bring them from a 5 to a 8 or 9.  A little politeness.  Returning calls.  Making appointments and keeping them.  It's the same general business ideas that apply in any field.  Professionalism.  There's an old saying:  "You can shear a sheep many times, but only skin it once."  The providers that take good care of clients will be successful, while those who cheat or slack in service will have a tough time.

Here's one problem, though, cmeflyhigh--most of the local women who read this board are the good ones.  The lousy ones (like WithoutAPaddle's Ariel) are not paying attention to this board.  They are ignorant and waste no time trying figure how to make us happy.  Just taking the time to read this board means they're aware and are trying to present a good image of themselves--the bad ones don't make that kind of effort.  So in a sense, we're just preaching to the choir.

I personally have seen just as many local ladies as I have seen traveling ladies and have had both good & bad experiences with both. There are many local ladies worthy of my business and those that I have seen and enjoy I tend to repeat with.

Also I agree that the low end providers will never read this and will not change...that is okay too...its their choice. Its also our choice to never see them again.

I say enough of the bring me down posts and lets all get back to having some fun...isnt that why we are here in the first place?

Thanks rdm. Your balanced reflection is very helpful. I especially  benefitted from the "preaching to the choir" analogy.  I must admit that it makes a lot of sense.  My apologies to any local SP who felt I was lumping all of you together.  Not my intention.  I'm going to post a reply to Suzi4u's post and will further elaborate on what may be the driving force to have responded to the original post as I did.  Thanks again for keeping a cool head.

I'm glad you feel you had a chance to let the guys know that you do not feel you should be lumped in with the bad apples.  I asked that question for that very reason.  I wanted the honest and fair minded ladies to tell us that is what they are.  I also do not want 100% of the local SP's to feel like they are being lumped together in one rotten bunch.  I'm really trying to smell them out (no pun intended this time) so I don't throw away any more money than I already have.

You asked how many I have seen.  In all honesty Suzi, I can't even tell you.  I'm 8 days away from being 61.  Some of the SP I saw in the early days are in nursing homes now.  I know I have seen more than 80 locals in the past 10 years.  Some of them are no longer in the business or have been driven out of the TC by a very few ill minded and jealous ladies.  A few have died.  Two or three of them will not see me but have not had the courtesy to tell me why.  Many of those I have not seen have been discredited on the boards by guys who TOFTT so I won't see them.  No need to constantly reinvent the wheel.  Some of them, by no fault of their own, are not the type of lady I am interested in seeing.  That does not make them bad apples though.  Some of them run too risky a business with way too much LE exposure.  You are right Suzi.  We have never met.  We almost did once due to some likeminded comments on a thread almost a year ago.  Give me some time to recover from the many loses I have experienced, and we may still meet.  I'm sure we will have a great time.

What precipitated my first response to the original post was that I have read so very many reports of the same kind of treatment from local ladies.  I have been in that exact same spot more often than I want to even admit.  BTW, I generally do not see many independent travelers either because there are a lot of them who are rip-off artists also. How do I know? I can read and understand plain English.

Finally, what also helped to precipitate my response to the original post was that, over the years, I have had somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000 stolen from me by locals.  Now you could argue that it is my fault for letting that happen.  In part, I would agree.  I have been far too trusting in years past. I have responded to hard luck stories some times and other times I have chosen to turn over the money when two or three goons entered the room and there I was in my birthday suit.  Some times I have left when I saw it turn South but tipped on the way out so that Guido wouldn't show up at my door.  The word of like stories really does get around.  Just a little digression:  If any of you feel like I am an "easy mark", forget it.  I'll face Guido rather than to turn over another unwarranted dime.  I'm a slow learner but I do learn.

I guess I have just had so much experience over the past 40 years that I have finally decided I needed to respond to the original post.  I should close by saying that perhaps I did exagerate when I said you can count the fair and decent ones on one hand.  I have been known to use hyperbole from time to time.  I do think the point is, nevertheless, valid.  Okay, I'm done now.  Thanks again Suzi, for your post.
