Only stupid John gives work and personal information. Why you so stupid?

I read the May 5th article...... it had nothing to do with a John giving out personal info.     It was about cops finding an add online and talking explicitly with them then cancelling a meet up.   THEN the person sent zelle/apple pay requests for money since the cops cancelled.   Which all of this lead back to the person arrested....IE: Cops followed phone numbers, addresses, etc.    This wasn't because of a John giving info.... it was because the "pimp" was looking for money from the agents because they cancelled.  

I read "the agent didn’t respond and later received a text message threatening to “involve your work or family” if the fee wasn’t paid by noon and sent via Venmo, the complaint states".

These weren't clients, they were LE agents doing an operation. It was also hard to tell from the article if the agents gave PI or if the blackmail threat was empty, hoping to scare someone into sending $$, so I wouldn't necessarily assume that PI plays

I’ve had a few of those emails too. They Google our phone number and try to tie any info or addresses to it. They send pictures of people dead laying in blood etc. saying this will be you and your family. I never sent them anything and block em. Now I got a burner

This is a common scam where people pretend to be the cartel to extort money. I’ve gotten those same messages and like you said, just block and move on.
