There is no doubt that screening and communication, especially for providers presenting themselves as GFEs who want to connect with clients, take lots of time.
Long ago I suggested to a regular friend, when she was raising her rate (not unreasonably) that she should give a discount for returners who didn't need screening, and a smaller one for those who made themselves easy to screen.
She did. And her number of regulars increased to the point that she didn't have to advertise for several months.
The above was a comment I made on another board, and Vorlon said that 1) short term gain is the name of the game 2) that discounts sometimes feel devaluing/disrespectful for the provider.
I understand both those observations, but remain convinced that locals need regulars, and vice versa.
Here's a sort of illustration: I saw a friend last week who I have seen at least a dozen times usually for $7-800, 90 minute sessions. That's a good regular income isn't it? This time it was for a $2,000 session, she was wearing no makeup, reeked of weed and was out in an hour. I gave her what she asked for -- $1,000 "plus a $500 tip because we haven't seen each other for a while please."
Of course in my mind the tip was for old times sake, because we will not see each other again. But I doubt she will understand the loss.
(And just to be clear, $4-$600 an hour is my ballpark, and the $600 has to be clearly very special.)
