That really depends on who you are trying to see.  Some escorts don't plan ahead more than a few hours or even less.  Some prefer not to see anyone who doesn't schedule well in advance.  I suggest you try calling some different providers.

many aspects of people's lives these days, due partly to our current state of economic woes?

What I'm noticing is that so many hobbyists are waiting until either the last minute or the day of a desired appointment to make up their minds to make contact for an appointment.  We've all been there, right?  But, it makes it difficult to plan the day or the week, and so forth, especially if we travel to our in call location to see clients.

I wonder if other areas of people's lives are also reflective of this lately.  I just haven't experienced this as much over the years as I am in the past few weeks.  Not as frequently, anyway.  Yes, I always get some last minute requests to see someone, but it just seems like it's much more common lately.

So, I'm wondering if it has anything to do with people's state of mind, due to the volatile state of things?

Just wondering....

I can only speak for myself but there are days when my schedule suddenly opens.  Some  of the time I may have suddenly came into extra money at the casino or track.  Then there is, that I can't remeber if I plan anything for more than 1/2 hr.

I am sure you are right.  Same reason folks are eating out less - and when they do go out they spend less.  I used to live in vegas - and even there - tourists are returning - but there spending is way down.  And I see a lot more "specials" from ladies than I used to.  The Good Ol Days are missed.

Hobby Well - Hobby Safe

I would  be too really busy if I saw all of the guys who try and book on the spur of the moment, but don't have the last minute flexibility that it would take to see all of the clients who call or write on the fly.  So, it's not that they aren't tying to making appointments.

They're just not planning ahead (generally speaking)...

I would love to be able to make advanced appointments. but in my limited experience most of the providers i've tried to see don't consider an appointment made a day or 2 in advance to be a real appointment.
I don't see any sense in making an appointment on thurs just to find out on sat that she's not going to be available on sat at the prearranged time, or maybe not at all. even with next day appointments I seem to get the response "who is this?" or "when did I talk to you. I hate to say this but alot of providers seem to less reliable than drug dealers. and most dealers are ON drugs. drug deals are never on time. but they NCNS less often than providers do.
I feel better now that I've vented.

Advanced appointments are about the only thing that works for me personally.  With another career and additional obligations, I need a couple of days to plan.  Sometimes one can catch me with a break in my schedule but it is rare. Actually, I like to sort out my week on Sunday nights which is what I am doing right now!  :-)

I always try to shedule a few days out but have been told on many occasions to call back and try to make the appointment the day of. This makes it hard for us because then the provider may be booked up on  "day of".

I've been getting that a lot lately too.  When I try to schedule for a couple days out I'm told to call the night before or the morning of or half hour before you want to schedule an appt.  If you wait that long
there's a good chance you won't find who you want.

...ummm...on second thought...dumb answer. Good question...dumb answer.
I usually try to schedule 7 to 5 days ahead. I really look forward to that date in the meantime and get psyched up for it. Some ladies don't like to commit that far ahead of time but that's less common than ones who do.

As much as I would love to plan ahead, my schedule is a beast. I have tried the plan ahead thing and some time works but there are occasions where i have to call and cancel because my schedule changed in some way, either work load expanded or last minute travel. I hate having to do this but I rather cancel a day or 2 in advance than be a total ass and NCNS but I still feel like an ass so I just stopped planning ahead.

When my schedule opens if I have been in contact with a provider I let her know that I have time and she lets me know if she has time, if she does voila we got a party if not then well either I move on or wait to the next time.

Me thinks just simple supply and demand economics.  The market is very difficult for most everything (particularly in vegas) so one has the opportunity to schedule last minute. Not that I would ever consider that. For highly rated providers I like to schedule at least a week in advance and that has always, and continues to even in this tough environement. worked well for me. I just think some with limited funds just can't schedule well in advance because who knows what's left at the end of the week. Don't think it has anything to do with a state of mind but, rather, the real life status of not knowing when enough funds will be available for hobby activites.

It is easier for me if you book a week in advanced for the Minneapolis area. I tour mostly so my availability is limited here. If I am on tour I prefer 24 hours notice is I have not seen you before so that I can screen you. If we have previously met and I am at home then I can usually accomidate.

Andrea Davis

I had no idea that some providers would actually prefer not to schedule advance appointments.  I don't think I could (or would) operate that way on a regular basis.  It's just isn't conducive to an organized lifestyle, sort of hectic and ADDish for me.  I guess I like a bit more planning, and rarely will change a scheduled date.  I appreciate advance notice, to be sure.

But, I do understand that (most) men, when they feel the inclination to play, just want to go out and find a playmate.  I'm like that when I want a massage or a haircut (or a dance partner!).  I get that.

Thanks again for your replies, it does help...

I'm like you Alantra.  I had no idea that some providers would prefer not to schedule advance appointments.  That blew me away!  Learn something new everyday!

I utilize the calendar on my website.  My regulars know to look on there to see what's available.  I try to keep it up to date, and for the most part it is, but sometimes it gets away from me.

I guess I look at it from a business standpoint.  You need to make an appointment to go to the doctor or dentist, so you call for an appointment.  I even ask that they email the day before to let me know if it's still a go on their end.  It's my type of reminder call like you get from your doctor's office.

I am available for same day appointments if you are already screened, so most get prescreened. That way when you're frisky, (or back in town) you're all set to come on down!  Screening is quite painless if you would check what it takes.

To each their own on how they want to run their business.  As I always say---whatever works!

Play safe and have fun!

Hugs,
JD

I would prefer to set up appointments in advance, but due to unpredictablity of my job I cannot always do that. I am at work 7 days a week and always one phone call away from having to stay at work.

Same day appointments are what I am usually left trying to arrnange, which I understand to be inconvenient for providers; however, I'd rather not schedule then cancel.

having to cancel.  I can do same day appointments if someone is pre-screened, but it gets tricky without that.  Well, it's always "tricky"!!
