I was reading through an earlier thread about business, and several people made some very good suggestions. I started out very low for what I do, and I kept it that way for a very long time until I built a solid base and still had more business than I could handle. Good clients stopped seeing me simply because they couldn't get in without planning a week ahead.

When I did raise my rates, I went lower than other ladies doing what I do but charging more, because I want to be competitive with my price point. Many will not see me, because they can spend a little more and get a FS girl... totally understandable. However, I have my own special ways to make sessions special, and I get the business.

Also, you do not have to do BBBJ to get 9s and 10s. You just have to bring your A game and be very present in the moment.

I have not offered half hour sessions, because I do love doing massage... but I love doing lots of things

I just can't imagine a half hour, so I never offered it. However, I would like more clarification, as I'm curious and suddenly not opposed to the idea. I have just not really taken the time to think about it. My thoughts are that a lot of people will push the half hour to 45 mins, and I'll end thinking they should have just booked an hour. Thoughts, please...

the 30 min thing....

although I haven't had the pleasure of seeing you I've read your reviews.... I can tell you know what you're doing.

when I book a 30 min session with a provider I always try to be respectful of their time and not go beyond 30 min. occasionally it does happen that a session goes a couple min beyond 30 but its the exception and not the rule. when a provider sets the mood properly, I have no trouble popping inside the 30 min. but at my age a second shot within 60 min isn't going to happen.....this is why I prefer 30 min sessions. I understand that many providers want to 'set the mood' and perhaps start with a massage, but what really gets me going are a few passionate kisses. it absolutely revs me up! a session can still be an intimate encounter, with foreplay, and stay within the 30 min.

I do agree with some of the posts that sometimes 30 minutes is all the time we have and that we can get our needs met in that time frame. If a connection is also something that is being sought then 30 minutes wouldn't be enough time. I don't believe 30 minutes with you would be nearly enough time. Not sure 60 minutes is long enough. Enjoy the weekend.

Quality Control....

The standard seems to be an hour or more . This is what the culture of our community has projected as a norm. Over the last few years I have notice a general dislike of half hour sessions, but not sure if that stems from providers or hobbyists. The dislike might stem from abuse of time. Also you mentioned you enjoy giving the hour, and I know this to be true, so do what you enjoy. It is all about what the provider wants to offer. Good business or bad, it is all about the level of joy that you pull out of everything you do in life. More money or less may matter now, but what will matter in ten years or more? If you grow business then hate bisniness, then what?

30 minutes might be what works best for some client/provider combinations, but seriously, what you offer goes so much beyond that primal level. I can't imagine you diluting that by 25% and still being who you are, and honestly, I would advise anyone seeing you to go for at least 90 minutes.

And you're right about the BBBJ observation. A smile and genuine attempt to enjoy and connect is worth much more. Except, perhaps, in the 30 minute market.

Try offering it for a month.

If you decide it's not working for you, discontinue the offer.

I have never seen you, so I cannot speak to your massage ability, but most are not really massages and could be dispensed with, getting more quickly to the matter at hand (pun intended)!

I've found that with the clients I have that use the 30 minute option

There is no issue at all and they love being able to make a connection that fits into their busy schedule. These are NOT clients who want to push it over the time limit. At least in my experiences that has not been the case. My repeat clients LOVE the 30 minute option.

I know I would do a half hour with you sexy girl any fricking time of the day Or night.

30 minutes?

30 minutes with some providers is adequate and for some hobbiests 30 minutes with you might be adequate. For me an hour with you is barely enough. Being with you is so much more than a great massage with a memorable finish.
