Re: That's a TER problem

In the last 2 weeks, I have communicated with two women who have delisted. One named another who had done so and I found her too.
The two said that the risk of toxic reviews was high enough even for regularly highly ranked providers that it wasn't worth the income or the toll on peace of mind to be here.
Sure this can be dissed.
  Non representative
There are lots of providers in the reviews and ads (rare in the discussions) although mostly they strike me as newer younger entrants with not much of a track record.
Tourists advertise a lot here, that is a different thing.  They are reaching to potential clients who do not know of their temporary time here.
This disrespect makes it harder to find reliable women and it closes access to those we could learn from on this discussion board.  I do not see anyway to fix it.

If providers are getting screwed over by fake reviews, contacting TER is the only recourse they have.  The people on this board have no ability to change that.  If TER would rather watch providers delist  than deal with the problem then I am at a loss to explain that attitude.

Bad reviews are one-thing; open hostility to the provider point of view is another.
Not so long ago, we had many providers who would at least participate in the discussions--they are all gone (one exception took a cruel hit last month).   I can name a dozen off the top of my head. Sure, some retired but, notably, they have not been replaced.
Many sites offer reviews.
Another major site offers providers control of their public presentation,
As a result, TER is trending to an also-ran site.
In the past, I would start here and use other sites to cross check information for my security when I TOFTT.
Now, I start elsewhere and cross check here.
I would start here if I was searching for a tourist but I do not see them.
Sure 'That's a TER problem" or "Management doesn't care," but we must conceded that mob rule is not a viable business model.

I've been preaching about this for a long time.  Why would they hang around to get called horrible names and belittled?  This board used to be so effective for making great contacts which were generally followed by wonderful sessions.  I know 2 different women that once shown this site, had the world opened up to them.  They flourished.  This was before social media so there's that but damn, it worked!  They are both still out there but won't touch this board with a 10' pole.  They despise it.

I don't disagree.  Sadly, TER has seldom enforced its own rules on posting behavior in all my 20 years here although it was better when the boards had their own, assigned moderators.  It says right in there: "Insults, personal attacks, name calling or intimidation have no place in civil discussions and are not welcome on TER. Ever."

So far I'm still here but my audience is older gentlemen and they seem to be a little more chill (🤞).

I'm pretty sure naming other review sites here would result in an instant deletion.

I used to read reviews,
Now, I don't pay much attention to them and certainly would not pay to access the detailed sections.
I am searching a narrow demographic, over 35.
If a provider has been on multiple sites for a while, are local, are at my price point of 400/hr incall, I just arrange for a first meeting (and about half the time subsequent visits).
Besides, after you discount the jerks, the idolators, YMMV, and different tastes, reviews do not say very much.

You'd have to use PMs to exchange that information.  TER won't allow competing sites to be posted.

I look at reviews on 4 other sites out of a possible 6 or 7 that post reviews. Only one of those other sites is really useful, and Minnesota reviews there are pretty few in number because it concentrates on west coast players.
TER is still top of the heap, although fake or useless reviews are popping up more and more frequently.
There is a lot that TER could do to improve things, but the energy seems to be flagging, which surprises me because reviews drive this machine.  It's worth noting that the discussion board used to be the driver, but nobody would say that anymore, would they?   If reviews keep declining then the end might be near.
So write reviews. Make them honest, helpful and kind, to the best of your ability.

The reason TER has no incentive to clean up fake reviews is the same reason all those hookup sites run bots posing as hot and ready women.  The male consumers think they are real.  That's the point.

… about you: you’re consistent.

Consistency isn’t always a plus, however.
