So I've had trouble scheduling with a pretty well known, 8's and 9's provider (pages of reviews).  Four times now she's cancelled on morning of.  Sick dog, kid, self, and constant verification circles.  True my references are thin cuz I'm relatively new... but have rs2k, sent pic, gave phone to work, web links of online articles I've written with pics of me, etc.   She keeps saying, ok, ur cool.  then falling back on verification (I think bcuz her schedule isn't open, and its an easy excuse, but just guessing).
A little checking, and she never *did* contact rs2k or the job ph. like she indicated.  so I really don't think its LE fear, or verification.

Everyone says she's sweet, and she sounds sweet.  But is this sort of schedule games typical?

frustrated, (cuz I been holdin' it in for 4 days now ) I give up and set up with another girl who recently posted here saying tuesday's were possible.  Again, heavily reviewed, (8's and 7's) she's not worried about verification, and doesn't seem to bother writing down anything.  At first call, she pushes it back a 1/2 hr... 2nd call she gives me rough location.  The once I'm close by... no more answering phone.  Me stuck at a gas station for 25 min. bfor I give up and head home.  

Could this be me u think?  Is this typical?

No pussy is that good. After four cancellations, it's time to move on. There are just too many great ladies out there, who WILL treat you right, to put up with that bullshit.

I hate NCNS. No excuse for them.

BUT...

Some girls may overbook because some guys NCNS them or cancel at the last minute.

We are often advised to have a "back-up plan" in case our first choice doesn't work out. What then happens to the back-up gal? A NCNS or last minute cancelation?

I'm just saying that this NCNS business cuts both ways.

thanks, both... sounds like I jsut got bad luck, and I shouldn't let it slow me down overall. (For *that* amount of work, I coulda had my SO!)  Had to serve myself like 8 cups of tea in 24 hrs to get all the stored up mojo out  What a waste of good lust!

Given what you said, I don't think it's you.  More than likely bad luck in your choices of providers.  NCNS happens for both the guys and gals too.  None of us likes it, of course.    

In the hobby, if at first you don't succeed, try try again...but with different ladies!

My guess is it's because your relatively new and/or you just picked the wrong girls to start out with.  Choose some other girls to try and keep plugging away.  I suspect once you are better known and have more experience yourself that things will get easier; for what it's worth that was my experience.

And I hope that I get lucky. It's not double booking and then canceling on the 2nd choice if the first one does show.

Apparently NCNS are gettting to be so common that no one seems to care who the guilty provider is.  A couple of months ago there would have been a slew of white knights making excuses for who ever it is, and a dozen demands to out the woman, since it does no good to talk about NCNS and without the particulars.

I am from the old school, and frankly, I don't see the point in discussing a NCNS without naming names.  

As a LV provider, I can honestly say I've never pulled a NCNS on anyone and do not intend to start! Personally, I'm not perfect but always do my best to keep to the set dates and times.

I know from reading the boards that NCNS can happen by accident and/or due to miscommunication. I can overlook someone if it rarely happens. We're all human and make mistakes!

IMO, I think it's outright disrespectful when anyone does it intentionally.

However, I will say I've had a few NCNS in the last few months which is quite frustrating! Especially after canceling plans with friends/family for someone who had good references and BEGGED me to see him for an extended appointment that day. He seemed very nice so I agreed. Waiting around for a few hours gets a bit annoying. Sadly, I'm sure I'm not alone in this situation.

I'd have to say it's a two way street of respect.

When I was new, I did the same thing as the poster and have had nothing but wonderful luck with the MN ladies Like others have said, just keep trying and it will be worth it.

Thanks, that seems to be the consensus... laughably, on wed. the 'perpetual cancel girl' tried to setup verification one more time and appt. for friday morning... gave her the info (again) -- and haven't heard back.  It's friday morning!  At lesat this time I didn't get all revved up for it... guess i'm learning after all.

As far as the other girl w/ NCNS that day... It was kristin, and seems she's done this on more than one occasion.  I'm sure she has her reasons (beyond being 20 yr. old) -- so that's cool.  And by 'cool' I mean sucky, lol.
