Investigations typically take a lot longer.  As to why a provider would see a cop, I can think of possible reasons like he's blackmailing her.

...stated that she frequently see cops and they're up front with her and give up all their private info stating such without hesitation.  Maybe this is normal for cops??  I'd like to think there's just a few bad apples doing this but who knows??
