Hello,

I'm new to this scene and I'm hoping other members and providers can give me some advice. I'm 36, live in the Minneapolis area, and have a pretty significant physical disability. I use a wheelchair and have 24-hour assistance. I'm looking for a provider that would be willing to work with me on a fairly regular basis. For accessibility reasons, I prefer outcall at my place.

My question is this: are there any local providers that have experience working with people with disabilities or at least open to working with people with disabilities? What information can I give a provider about my disability to make her comfortable? I've been looking at providers who are near my age because I'm assuming they might be more mature and less likely to freak out. I've e-mailed a couple and their responses were pleasantly positive.

I'd appreciate any information or specific referrals you care to offer. Feel free to reply here or PM me. Thanks.

I don't live up your way but do want to send a few words of encouragement...  My ATF is disabled and in a wheelchair..  I have seen him very regularly for 2yrs now... He is a total blast!! Communication about his special needs was great at 1st, that way i knew what to expect and knew if i was up for it ahead of time..  Good luck to finding your special somebody.... Too bad I don't live near by :(

Hello,

I have two regular friends with disabilities. One is on the mild end. The other requires around the clock care. We communicate as he reads from his keyboard thorugh a microphone.

To be honest. I enjoy my time more then anything with both of these individuals. They appreciate me more then I could ever imagine. I can always leave with a smile on my face because I know I made their day.

he communicated his needs up front, which I greatly appreciated.  As long as there is an open line of communication and a bit of patience, especially in the beginning when you are getting to know each other, I see no issue.

I wish you the best of luck in finding a lady who can meet your needs!

Hugs, Belinda
