For some it's similar to cc. You can charge it and either make payments or pay it off. It also might not draw the attention of a spouse where a large cash withdrawl might.

Although some don't plan on dates they decide spur of the moment and PayPal or a cc might make an appointment happen that otherwise wouldn't. I ve never done it but can see situations where one might choose to.

It lets you load up to 500 per day. It can be purchased with a CC, it is anonymous to sender and receiver gets the code to enter into their account. It's untraceable from SO's point of view. Sometimes for deposits it is "safer" to use this route than a cashier's check or money order. (just make sure a LADY with credible reviews is the one receiving the message.)
