For so long I thought that was just normal practice. There are those who will not screen at all even down to real name and those who are willing and prepared to share whatever you need to screen ... And so many in between! BP clients are typically not used to being screen so I often refer them to TER as a way to hobby the smarter and safer way.

Have you looked into posting an ad on the Ad Board that TER provides? More info at the following link, make sure to read it all the way through, though:

I've seen several providers note that in their BP ads.  Don't know if it helps, but at least you're letting prospective clients know before they contact you that they WILL be screened.

Yes i put that light screening is required to see me, it seems like most of them don't even attempt to read my ad :/ it list my website with rates yet they still ask, it says txt only until verified they still call. Lol its definitely not the best site to post on thanks again everyone for the amazing help!!!

Astrid, thank you for the advice, i am new and already wishes bp would vanish!  Though i'm sure there's some nice gentlemen that use bp for providers. But just like the lady's on there its a needle in a hay stack!

 Something very important that they don't understand is this: you have NOTHING to gain by being indiscreet with their private info; in fact, it would harm your reputation a great deal.  
   
 The reason (s) they aren't giving you info may be:  
   
 1) low quality, fly-by-night, high volume ladies that advertise on BP (not ALL, but the majority) DON'T screen, and they know and expect this.  
   
 2) they think they are more important or interesting than they really are. In all seriousness--if celebrities, politicians, famous athletes, and the like can trust me with their private info, (and they CAN, and they DO) than certainly Mr. Average Joe Blow should not be so concerned.  
   
 Bottom line-- I am not willing to risk my reputation by blabbing private info about my clients. There is absolutely NO good reason to. I wish this was more widely understood.  
   
 Screen to your comfort. We all have our methods and comfort levels. If they don't want to cooperate, they can move on to the next gal who doesn't screen. These would be all the ladies you see mentioned here on the threads re: rip-offs, robs, bait & switch, etc. or, of course the ones that go to jail because they didn't SCREEN and made an appointment with a COP.  
   
 If Backpage went away forever yesterday I would celebrate. It seems like its nothing but a PITA. I hope you can get onto p411 very soon, so you can get away from Backpage and its disgusting reputation. The quality of providers AND clients who use a verification site like p411 is superior.

I like BP and the lack of screening. I may not enjoy the outcome one day. I am a hobbying hobbiest. My wants are more spontaneous and are not being scheduled. Waiting days or a week to have someone get me off does not appeal to me. For one, I am not sure I would get much done in between.

As in Mariahs case.  Someone has to be willing to take the plunge.  We can come here and chat in the forums all we want, but someone has to take the risk still and TOFTT since she still doesn't have any reviews or anything on date-check or p411.

Judging by the pictures on your website, I'm sure there are plenty of guys here that would love to help you get reviewed. Post an ad on the ad board and your problem will be solved in a week or so.

 I'll bet you don't go into a professional kind of dry cleaner and complain because they won't clean your clothes in 24 hours, do you?    And I'll also bet if you see "screening required" in an ad and you want to schedule an appointment right away, you simply find someone else.

Yeah, I've worked in client-facing roles for decades and some clients can be reeeal hard to deal with.  They think because I'm just a "vendor" (kind of a provider, I guess) they can do/say anything they want.  Although I've never had any of them offer me $40.00 for...... BUT ANYWAY, the few difficult clients are more than made up for by the many clients who treat me professionally, with courtesy and respect, and for whom I'd do anything.

This is my suggestion, get your phone number off the BP ad. You can always give them the number after they have been verified and give it to them discretely. And emails are much easier to ignore if you do not want to deal with them.
