Just curious what makes you think its a possible sting?

When I first saw this ad I thought it was suspicious. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one.

I would highly suspect this to be a sting.  18 isn't an age you generally see on ME.  Not with an agency or service.

Well for starters it's a gut feeling thing.  Could be absolutely nothing and she might be legit but when ad reads like hers does and is more geared towards the escort side versus massage that's a red flag for me.  On ME we've been lucky no sting has taken place and typically all the providers are legit.  "Looking for a good time" and " open to almost anything" aren't typical for veteran providers.  But her by all means if you wanna risk it go for it.  But an 18 year old on ME is rare.  Just seems random and odd.  

According to a poster on another site. The person in the ad mentioned she's underage in texts.

Yeah. Whoever is on the other line claimed she was a minor. And wrote "bye Felicia" to me. No minor says that anymore. Hit them with the "yellow fellow kids" gif.

She lets you know she’s younger then 18 while texting details of appointment set up to see how you react.

They have laws in Afghanistan let alone a government?

It’s a gut feeling. MNE is catered to groups of girls, there are indie girls that advertise on there but I feel like those indies are well known, like Olivia, Tyler, Laney and a few others.  

I'd definitely avoid anyone that mentioned being underage.

Because if you go look at the Bloomington PD arrest reports you will find 10 arrests reports on 10/27/21.  Plus someone said there was a mention on another board of a possible sting.

It was a sting.  Ad is now gone.  Looks like 10 arrests yesterday.  

I can confirm that the number in the ad does claim to be under 18.

Good call there were at least 10 arrests in Bloomington on 10/27. Many were men in thier 30' s which I found somewhat surprising.

It's always good to know how fellow hobbyists arrived at their conclusion with this sort of thing.

My issue with shit like this, I never have seen am underaged poster on MNE. Why sting it for underage? Most the time people ignore the truth in front of them. They are posting an ad of an 18 year old which is not underage. I get the people that fall for it are idiots but lets not pretend the cops are out here saving the world from people preying on children.

Anyone have the phone number now that the ad is gone?  Had an odd interaction on ME and wonder if this was it.  Luckily I didn’t pursue

If the guy the contacts the poster and the other person on the end says they are underage and the guy still tries to go through with an appointment then yes, they are preying on children.

Thank you for noting the 'bye Felicia' reference. I have heard this used in person by undercover female informants who are also known to have one strip of non-natural hair color in their otherwise banal looking hairstyle and have stripes somewhere in their wardrobe (usually socks). They are a weird bunch of people who were group trained similarly to those pushing credit card sales at a department store. Some of whom do not know where the 'bye Felicia' reference comes from. I am sorry for picking on (you) but I prefer to see you work on something constructive versus baiting vulnerable members of the public.

Side note: this type of sting serves maybe three purposes. One: it influences public perception that law enforcement is making progress apprehending community undesirables. Two: at best it gleans potential sources with information about child sex trafficking networks. Three: it identifies weaknesses in deep, organized child sex trafficking networks and deals with them accordingly and further strengthens their pipeline. My unsolicited advice is to opt-out of working on these cases. It is an unwinnable war.

While its good to give a warning of a possible sting, as soon as the communication leans that she's a minor, all communication should cease right then and there. As soon as she said she was a minor and guys continued and set up a date, then they got exactly what they deserved.
