Guys - what would you do If you were at an appointment and your date had a heart attack/ stroke and died?

Gals - same thing but it was your client.

Because some of my clients are in their 80s, I have thought about this before. I would want to try to create the least amount of embarrassment for their family and I'm not sure how I'd do that. If they were skinny I'd probably do a Weekend at Bernie's and walk them to their car,put them in the front seat and then call 911.

I'm not going to take the chance that the victim could be resuscitated if I call for aid immediately.

If it was the middle of winter you could do a Fargo scenario.  And get your self a wood chipper and spread um around the yard or garden area.   Work good in a snow storm.   Just saying.

Miss LadyAnna, if this were to occur during a session together, I ask only this.
First try try reviving me by lips to mouth, and if it fails, go ahead and tell them all I went out smiling .

You can get in trouble for moving a body.  (I realize you are joking.)
.
But seriously, call for help immediately.  Unless you really know they are completely dead (and not just slightly dead) you could be held liable for delaying care.

You're right, of course. Even if someone appeared to stop breathing I would be giving chest compressions with one hand and dialing 911 with the other.

Call 911 like you would for anyone, it may seem awkward but it's the right thing to do. If they want to question you get a lawyer.

Exactly, it could happen to anyone including providers. Are providers willing to provide their real names, just in case it happens???

Wow I didn't think of that. But so many clients (well, people) don't consider that being even a tiny possibility.

All of us are walking around thinking we'll live forever or at least another 40- 50 years. Except for people who see death every day like in war zones and famine areas. And very sick people of course.

I wonder if we'd all change our behavior if we were not allowed to ignore the closeness of death.

C He says he isn't

A I'm getting better!
B No you're not, you'll be stone dead in a minute.

Actually we have to ignore the things we can't change.
