To all bait/switch and up sell providers:

I used to let it go when I got bait and switch in the past. Paid for a luxury car rental and get a subcompact. Thinking I'm being a gentleman and at least I got something out of it. At least I can get where I’m going to get the job done.

I used to let it go when I was quoted $$$ for the rental and when $$$ is no longer in my pocket,  all the extra fees come out. We both know the game. There is no mystery here. You have something I want and I am willing to pay the prize you quoted before my arrival.  I see that you advertised a luxury car, don't have a subcompact waiting for me. Or you do have a luxury car waiting for me, but all the extras fee start showing up after I paid the agreed fee. That's false advertisements.

I earned $3500/week. $$$-$$$$$$ is a full day of work for me. I'm gladly and willing to trade 1/2 if not all of my day for one hour. I’m not cheap. Like I said, I’m will to trade 1 day for 1 happy hour. In rare cases, I’m will to trade many days for 1 very, very happy hour. Life is too short to not experience it all in my opinion

If I know that a dishonesty is in play, I will book as many hours as possible, but have no intention of going through. I will waste my time showing up to confirm so I can live with a clear head. I’ll always do my research first, but something I will take chances on someone new to the game (after every body has a starting point and life is about taking chances), but if dishonesty is observed, my hobbyist friends will know.

Those of us, who always follow through on what we promise, never fail to show up, and are willing to give more time than requested. Only to have someone call and cancel or just not show up after we've gotten the room?

I would think it equally fair game to share that info with the girls as it is for the guys to share it with the guys as they have in this post above.  All's fair in lust and war.

So MPR-man will have a very good reason for doing this to those naughty mate-and-switch ladies, and I wouldn't blame him.  

For us gals that are always good to our word, we should be safe, if our advertising practices are up to snuff.

I'm truely sorry for your distress. Even with my new mission possible, I will still show  up to confirmed that it is truly a bait and switch. In the case of up-sells, I probably wouldn't show up. If you are honest, you have nothing to worry about. Men are stupid.

Just be honest. Accurate pictures and profile. Sell beer not water.  Men think with the wrong head all the times. They will come back if they have fun. Now you have a  regular. I have friends that I see on a regular basis.

Sometimes, men made the appointment and didn't show up maybe because the big heads took over because perhaps they got let down before, perhaps many times. Coming from personnel experience, I know, many times, at the last minute, I ask myself, what if....not whom I though or upsells...what if LE...

Okay, usually I refrain from posting, but this begs my attention.  If you're mad at a bait and switch, simply post it here or write up a bad review.  If the provider in question gets enough bad reviews, she'll either lose business or have to mend her business practises.

Other wise, leave the providers who are true and honest LADIES alone!

This hobbie should not be a contest of wills, rather an expression of mutual enjoyment for all concerned!

I guess what I wanted you to think about is, we could all post "He did", "She didn't". The fact is, being screwed (and not in a good way) costs ALL of us $$ and time.  But do we really want the discussion board to used for that? Wouldn't just the bad reviews speak for them selves? Unfortunately the ladies do not have the same forum to review the guys and let other ladies know who to watch out for.

I don't really think two wrongs make a right and by us guys doing the same thing that is done to us makes us no better. To me, that is the point of this site, to share information with one another and when the bait n' switch, upsell or no show happens, call the provider out for everybody and let the open market do its thing. If I read a review where some guy gets the hard upsell, you can bet I will not see that provider. If everyone then boycotted that provider, she'll either be forced to reevaluate her 'sales pitch' or be out of work. Let's use this site the way it was intended and share the info, not to start a war with providers, most of whom are honest, hard-working and providing a legitimate service.

MPR,  very good to a degree...  While I do not condone any bait switch, I will be the first to blast the lady that is doing this.

I would say take it a step further and remember the power of the keyboard/pen is very mighty and powerful!

If you know of an actual bait/switch or an upsell queen, post her name on the board and let as many people know about her.

Also, if she rocks your world, let the guys know this also so it is a 2 way street not just one way.

Use the forum to inform about those who are not following through. Doing such as: bait and switch, up sells, no shows, poor whatever...
And on the flip side, if they are doing good/great... put that out here too.
Personally, I'd rather use my time and energy to find and be with providers who are on the ball. Not running around scheduling appointments and not showing up or whatever. Ya do that, you're no better than who you are trying to mess with. What goes around, comes around.

MPR - Review takes couple days to show. Many got scammed already if a travel provider. If local, she simply does the name and number change. Address the problem in real time - now. Be proactive – look for and prevent future problems.

MPR- I agreed completely. But in this case is only one wrong. To see a bad apple with bunch of good ones and do nothing about is WRONG. The term “It’s not my problem. Someone else will deal with it” is WRONG.

MPR – Action speaks louder than typing. Why there are many bait and switch providers still in business, many are the same ones. Is because those whom familiars with the game do nothing. The un-suspect or newbie hobbyist or someone being a gentleman (oh well better luck next time, at least I got where I’m going) gets scammed.

how about ladies changing name and advertising with new name after they had one too many bad reviews.
