Thanks!!!  I turned mine off, and very strangely, I had a message from backpage telling me to click link to post when I haven't placed an ad of any kind for ages!

Damn interwebz.

Go to the bottom of your gmail inbox, next to the copyright icon and above the "terms" and "privacy policy" links, you will see an option to "turn off Buzz". Please do so right away, as to not compromise the privacy of those you IM or email frequently.

It's in our best hobby interest that we all opt out of this feature.

Thanks.

Check out the recent post on hushmail. I don't know of any better (safer, more secure) and still free option than hushmail.

Having to log into your email account every three weeks to prevent it from canceling is a nuisance. Some people have the reassurance that they will be able to log-in every three weeks, others don't. I lost my hushmail account for this very reason last year. And there is no way to retrieve it.

Plus, I love how gmail streamlines and organizes my emails.

For the gmail lovers out there, just turn off Google Buzz and you should be ok.

The gmail vs. hushmail war continues...LOL.;)

I hope you're feeling better, Cordial.

Xoxo.

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what does "turning of my buzz" do? What happens when my buzz is "on"?

I believe that Google keeps records of IP addresses.  Therefore, if LE needed to track you down, they would have a way to do so - unless you are always on public PCs.

You don't need to disable buzz, just configure it not to display/share your info..
