We often see posted here the recommendation to see only well-reviewed providers.  And that is certainly good advice, which I follow.  But consider that if everyone always patronized only well-reviewed providers, it would be impossible for a new provider to break into the hobby!  And eventually... no more hobby!

So I'd like to take a minute to salute you, Mr. TOFTT Guy, one of the Real Men of the Hobby.  It takes guts to see an un-reviewed provider.  There's personal risk involved... definitely the chance that the visit won't go as well as expected, with subsequent lost time and money.  And we all know of the other risks.

For all you do... this Bud's for you!

First off agree with the OP, but I would like to salute the guy who when not giving a 10/10 to let me know why Your Milage May Vary. I love reading reviews, but when they reviewer writes a review and it nothing but good and they gave a 8/8.... why? I do not care about the pouch that was not in the picture or did not like the makeup. I want to know what happen when you had a great time and popped twice why it was an 8. What were you expecting to happen that did not happen? Anyway, this Bud's for you.

I agree with you about new providers, that they should be given a chance to break into the hobby and build up a client base. I've taken a chance with new providers with no reviews. And it is a big chance? Could be LE or really bad service/total rip-off, etc. One just has to do a little screening, google, research, etc... Advice to new providers; just be honest and understand the basics of the biz and being a providers. Bad service and dishonesty gets bad reviews. Good service gets good reviews and builds up long term client base...

You realize of course that TER rules put limits on "performance" scores, so for example a provider who gives the World's Best Massage topped off by an incredible CBJ can get at most a 7, unless they do (at least sometimes) some other very specific things.

As for the "appearance" scores, all I can say there is, one man's 9-10 can be another man's 5-6.  A lot of subjectivity in play there.  For example, a provider might be in her mid-to-late 40s and be truly fantastic looking for her age.  So one reviewer might give her 8-9.  But someone else might be comparing her to a 20-something lass with no "lines of experience" on her face, no kids, and the perky breasts of a young woman, and give the older provider a 5-6.

I too scratch my head on the reviews where it seems as if the reviewer had a great time, no complaints, but the "performance" score is a 6.  Maybe just a hard grader?

But when it come to performance and the provider meets the requirements to allow a ten and the reviewer drops a 7 and he makes it seem like it was the best experience he has ever had I get a little confused. I would just like to know if the provider did something that warrented a 7. I just want to know why.  I know it comes down to communication between provider and hobbyists about likes and dislikes. I have seen a provider that attacked my balls so many times it left happy but walking funny. Some may like this and that is fine, I just want to know if something like this might happen. It will not stop me from seeing the provider, I just need to know to be able to open my mouth and say something before I leave with a smile and a funny walk.

I don't see that there is a reason to believe anything is lacking when one is given.

I agree, but some providers don't.

...and some of the readers are strictly by the book and others are more lax. Just a theory, tho. I also think the more reviews a hobbyist has posted the less scrutiny it'll be given.
