Now that I got that out of the way, I found this sociologist who spoke on MPR to be quite interesting. He called the online hobby therapeutic. He said in essence that online workers provide a type of therapy to gentlemen that should not be viewed in the same light as what is offered on the streets.

As of late, I have being doing a lot of exploring of the mind and body…mostly mine! I figure I certainly need something to tide me over during these hard times. Yes, I have filled my idle time with exercising (I was hoping to have a photo shoot at the end of the month…but I think that is null and void!), eating of course, biking, reading (attempting to study for the GMAT…if only I did not HATE standardized tests…urghhhh!), working at my old job, spending time with family, posting on boards, keeping up with the news and masturbating (not at the same time, of course). Perhaps you enjoy masturbation too, and if you didn’t maybe you will now (that was such a bad joke..he he). Feel free to check out some of the masturbation stories I have linked to. What's happening in our city right now is nothing more than a witch hunt based on your grandmother's old, tired, OUTDATED ethics. I am a law-abiding citizen and a good person. I do volunteer work. I don't kill people with guns or rape children or drive drunk (hell, I barely even drink). I don't smoke crack or make meth in my kitchen. I am simply a girl trying to live my life, I've chosen a career path that I love, and it hurts nobody and helps many. And for that, I am supposed to live in constant fear and paranoia? I have done NOTHING wrong. And you probably haven't, either. So why should we feel bullied or afraid?

Ask yourself why, when violent criminals are allowed to walk free on the streets, the "Violent Offender Task Force" is concerned with a few peaceful, consenting adults? Why they are spending YOUR tax dollars on prosecuting nonviolent "offenders"?

Do you realize that only a couple weeks ago, near $20,000 went "missing" from the Metro Gang Strike Force, and they are currently under investigation by the FBI? Our local law enforcement is CORRUPT, people. What is happening right now is a giant cover-up operation to distract from the fact that those who are hired to protect and serve are doing nothing of the sort, and are using their status and power to act however they want without repercussions.

Say what you want about me. Don't see me or contact me if you feel I'm a threat (I'm not). If you're "embarrassed" by me then so be it. Just stop being so afraid, and please, educate yourselves. Our country wasn't built by people who lived with their tails between their legs, it was built by people who stood up for what they believed in.

I just want to say I FEEL you deeply. Some of you heavily relied on TER as your main avenue for advertising. Let’s be honest, a lot of those other sites really do not compare. Well, that is kind of shot to hell now, isn’t! And, yes some saved up for a raining day like this, some did not. Whichever category you fit in, I value your experience. Things will get better. So until TER says it is a rule to NOT post, then feel free to post without regret or embarrassment. Do not allow aliases to bully you. Brush them off! And, post. But be cautious right now of how and what you post. Do not be too obvious as to who you are. Me obvious? Well, that’s just me…

I was always the student in the class who spoke up too much (although never when it came to critical matters outside the class...culturally, I was raised to know when to STFU. It was embedded in me as a child.). I was the one who eventually became a leader of high school and college organizations, as well as professional committees in my “career” years. So, it is in my nature to do what I will do and post if I feel like it. I have NEVER been a follower. That’s just me. Breathe ladies!!! You will eat. The “Unofficial” Top Ten Reasons Why a Provider May Still Need to Advertise on TER (In no particular order):

Ok, these probably are not the top ten reasons, but the only ones I can think of right now…at midnight.

1. She needs to eat.
2. Perhaps she cannot dip any further into her savings or Roth 401(k). Or, perhaps she does not have savings or a retirement plan.
3. She might just have children and a family she is supporting.
4. She is supporting herself.
5. She has bills.
6. TER is a great site!
7. She might be dealing with foreclosure.
8. Perhaps she is just high maintenance and is trying to maintain said lifestyle.
9. She may have an addiction.
10. She owes large debts to the green alien mafia!

Oh, and eleven…

11. She may also want to fill her idle time and doesn’t mind seeing old friends who she rescreens stringently. As we all know, she needs a release!

Who really knows why she needs to post? But if she makes an informed decision to post on TER within the guidelines, please be a gentleman/gentlewoman and allow her to do so peacefully. Our moderators and staff are well informed of their rules and will pull anything that they need to.

I hope you enjoyed my dissertation. I may have just thrown my complete marketing strategy out the window. If I did, well…I live and I learn (I am still only in my mid-twenties).

Posting Out and Over!

All of the things you are saying have been said by many people, you are preaching to the choir. With that being said, there is a big difference between living by your principles and daring law enforcement.  We should educate ourselves?
Maybe you should educate yourself in the ways of discretion, what you are also paid for in addition to your service and discretion isn't piping up in the middle of a far-reach federal investigation and saying "I'm not scare of the law". I'm not going to return to this thread to go around in circles with a couple of uninformed, attention-starved providers.  All I'm going to say is heed some of the advice that you've been given, listen to other members who've been in this game ten, twenty + years and observe the fact that only a couple of people seem to be thumping their chests in the face of imminent danger.  Don't get defensive, take a breath before you hammer out a smart ass response and put your thinking cap on for your own sake.

With all due respect to those right now in some pretty hot water, it's important to keep some things in mind.

The crime from which everyone is fleeing in terror is prostitution. Not murder or embezzlement or child pornography or assault or even DUI. It's prostitution. And go check the Minneapolis statutes: maximum penalty for soliciting is one year or $3k fine or both. Maximum. For engaging a prostitute it's even less, 90 days or 1K fine or both. And as anyone here knows, most first time offenders never get anywhere near the max.

Now please don't misinterpret what I'm saying. I'm not implying to willy nilly ignore the current situation because of lax enforcement and flout the law. I'm just saying that perhaps the crime itself does not warrant the earth is falling our lives are forever changed we are all doomed mentality.

There's nothing wrong with continuing to post on TER and keep in touch with those you have developed relationships with. There's no law against that.  All posts here are still protected under the 1st Amendment.

Fact of the matter is, unless you are among the fastpass group or the Nice Guys club, you only have to worry about the same things you always had to worry about. Police are not about to break down the doors to anyone who's ever posted on TER and haul them off the prison in the coming days.

The police will eventually move on to more harmful crimes. Ones that mandate more than a 90 day sentence. Meanwhile baseless hysteria does not serve the community well. Every provider has not suddenly become an undercover informant for the police. And now more than ever, this is when our favorites truly need the support.

If you are among those caught in the crackdown, exercise your right to qualified counsel. If you are not, exercise the same caution you have always exercised. This all will eventually pass and hopefully soon we will again be enjoying the usual Titty Tuesday and Freaky Fridays.

Do you think the gay rights movement would be where it is now if people like Harvey Milk had listened to those who were gay but believed the best thing to do was live in silence? Revolutionaries have never been the most popular kids in class. Doesn't bother me a bit.

Please do not tell me what I "should" do as far as my own business practices are concerned. You're not my mother, my doctor, or my priest, and as far as I know I have never even met you. I am prepared to deal with the repercussions of my own behavior; you don't need to police me. You are more than welcome to see me or NOT see me, just as everyone else is. Freedom of choice is nice like that.

Thanks for the encouraging post! Today is the last day of my trip & I picked a terrible time to make my Minn debut. There have been a lot of cancellations due to fear & paranoia. Insinuated by some, but there is no thumping of the chest here…

Only an idiot would try to take on LE. I have seen a few in my life try to do so and they were sad idiots who failed. Trying to challenge LE is just a societal wrong…that is a no-brainer. I think most people know to respect LE and not rudely thump their chests at them in a defiant fashion. With that said, my posts are not to challenge them in anywhere…just to post. I actually respect LE. If it weren’t from them, I would not have made it out of a few dangerous situations in my life. So, challenge them especially on a public forum is a no no. That would be complete disrespect when it comes to them and that is not my style. Are you disrespectful to parents? I am not. I would never intentionally thump my chest at parents (authority figure), thus I would not do that to LE (authority figure). I do indeed actually have an element of respect for authority. I just enjoy posting. And, there is nothing wrong with that. Also, I am aware that LE is competent enough to go after those actually guilty of something. I am just posting. Besides, I have always found a man in a uniform to be hot and female LE to be rockets. I love authority and fire in women. I have seen some of them in action, so I would not want to do any thumping of my chest at them!  I am just a law-abiding citizen who feels like posting.
