I'm still fairly new to the hobby and have a membership here and to a screening site.  I sometimes see new or very lightly reviewed providers showing up on the screening site, and I wonder how hard it would be for LE or some other no-fun-allowed entity to sign someone up on a site like that.  From reading on this and other boards I've put together a fuzzy picture, but if someone could provide some detail about what steps a provider has to take to be listed on a screening site, I'd really appreciate it.

TIA.

"Q. If a provider has a profile on P411 can I assume she is a real provider?

A. All providers are considered to be "legit" before we will approve her account. We do this by looking for reviews posted by established reviewers, or by having a P411 client member vouch for her.

Regardless, I always suggest do your own research on every potential visit to make sure she is a good match for you."

A service like P411 is useful because it makes the booking process easier once you make a choice. But you can't rely on them to track every provider member all of the time. Doing your own research is always the best strategy.

I had a review from a WELL known gentlemen (normally they need two or three), it couldn't be from a gentlemen who had just two reviews, I don't believe anyways maybe I'm wrong! There's also a three step part where the provider has to prove her real life information. I'm not sure if I can give out those details so I wont. If someone else does then great. But honestly its not EASY per say to get into screening sites. Defiantly not when you are a new provider. Hope that helps!

If I'm wrong forgive me but that was my experience.

Mariah is right- it was difficult for her to get herself on p411. Providers DO have to prove themselves with either referrals from clients in good standing with multiple ok's on their client account, or well established provider vouches, or a combination of both.

Gina takes her operation very seriously; I have a lot of respect for her. I will say again that p411 is not just a business to her, she is a former provider and does care about the safety of her client AND provider members.

Mariah I'm happy to hear that it sounds like you are now listed on p411! I know it seemed like a long road for you and it was probably frustrating.

Congrats! I'm very pleased with the quality of clients who reach out to me on that network.

Peace,

Astrid

Thank you Astrid, yes as you know first hand it was indeed hard for me to get on p411, and yes a tid frustrating but I'm glad Gina makes it hard to get approved honestly. Great site, but just like us providers you must always do your own research to which ever point makes you feel comfortable, and vise versa.

Same for me ... I needed several reviews plus a referral from a current active member to get on P411 ... Was kindly rejected at first because my first few reviews on another site weren't good enough but after a few on ter and the referral I was in ... So glad too ... I love the added security of P411.

And some are better than others at checking applicants out.  P411 is good and being based in Canada helps them avoid LE pressures.  But don't just assume that because a provider is on P411 that she is automatically legit; if LE wants to infiltrate a site badly enough, they can find a way.

Thanks to all of you.  It's pretty much what I thought, possible but very tough to get listed unless you're a provider.  Still, I do think doing one's own research makes sense, both via this site and other avenues.

I must be misunderstanding your post. Several provider ladies have listed the hoops we had to jump through to be approved for a p411 account. In addition to the criteria mentioned, I failed to mention a lady must have an "approved" online presence such as a website or a TER profile. The TER profile must contain a minimum (if memory serves me correctly) of 3 reviews, and each of the reviewers history is checked as well.

Vorlon is right on as always...LE can and will infiltrate their way into any hobby related site. They have their ways, and I imagine they're patient.

Peace,

Astrid
