I tried to make a appointment with a well-reviewed local massage provider.  Her scheduler, Ava, requires a selfie.  I refused, so no appointment.  Do guys regularly provide this?

Guys offer to send me selfies as "screening" but really a selfie with no name provides nothing. I can't imagine why they would require this.

Smart choice. Thanks for putting a name to the scheduler.  The more  information that exposes who is doing this is in our best interest  .  

I refuse to use a scheduler or see a provider that will not accept my TER handle and whitelist referrals for screening. If that's not good enough then I will be sharing my time and money with one of the many other lovely ladies for whom that is acceptable.

They could match the picture you send with you driver's license, if they also require you to send a picture of that. But I don't see the need.

No matter how much you bitch or gripe or try to boycott their will always be ladies that use screeners. That is the ladies choice. She can run her business however she sees fit.

No one ever said they don't have a choice, or right to set their own criteria did they? No we simply made it known that it's  being asked . So that we who pay  the bills, and we do, can decide who and what to support in the hobby community.  What is this some secret society now? Hey said schduler is more than welcome to come  in the ring and state her / his case.  Don't expect but ,hey free to speak. Any scheduler want to come in the ring?  

Anyone who doesn't give me a name... I'm not gonna call you "bob" cuz you don't want to give me a name, I mean come on, Discretion works both ways..   But a selfie of the client? Seriously is STUPID!!! No one need to go to that measure for screening... There's too many tools out there that you don't need a selfie of a client..... And I screen hard..

I fully support your decision to not see a provider that uses a scheduler. You know why.. It's your American Right to do so. I am not by any way shape or form discounting how you feel on this subject. I am just saying that for every guy that has a problem with seeing a lady who uses a scheduler their are other gentlemen that don't.

      I wouldn't give out a picture for the same reasons I wouldn't use my real name, email, phone or home address. The risks out weigh the rewards when I can find other ladies who will see me based on references and P411. To each their own and like some ladies pointed out they have the right to ask for what ever they need to feel comfortable but remember safety and comfort are two way streets. Comfort wise I couldn't do it and would rather not participate in this if that was a hard and fast requirement.  
      Thankfully it hasn't been for me.
   

I have made appointments via schedulers before and it has worked fine.  Sending selfies in order to get an appointment is a bridge I'm not willing to cross.

If you have a facebook or other source of your pictures online you could send one of them.  It gives plausible deniability in the future because anyone could have copied that photo

Its a dead horse to you maybe , but to  us who have skin in the game , its not.   And the OP  main point was not about using or not using a scheduler in general.  He simply asked is it reasonable for a third party  with nothing but a financial stake to ask this and get others responce to that request correct?  

The lady does.  Ava schedules for other ladies that do not require photo id(selfie).

Moot point as it does not change the fact that it was asked of him . And she reponds on their behalf . And she could have made that clear to him in those smoochie emails.  Whos  asking is not the main point . Its what information  he was being asked to provide  that is.

Be serious! If we all remember correctly,  a few years back... Gfe=spending the whole hour, COVERED BJ, and that's about it. BBBJ was an upcharge. Kissing was unheard of. And greek, don't even get me started.  When CLIENTS decided they wanted more, and got it from a few ladies that were willing to do so to bring in more clients, the standard GFE changed to everything under the sun!  Shit, most of the clients expect greek even with a standard rate because of ladies who are trying to undercut others and offer it in a standard session. Not to mention, the guys who always are expecting EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN are also usually the guys asking for "specials" or discounts.  If guys want a girl that does everything for a decent price, then one would think, they'd be willing to give a freaking selfie. As a matter of fact, I see guys with their pic plastered on their p411's all the time.  So obviously, there's some that don't have a problem with their pic being out there, even without being asked.  Our's  are and if we block our face, folks ask for face shots like they're subject to privy pics of us when obviously, we don't show for our own reasons. So in short,  I doubt it will become the "new norm", but if it happens to by chance,  I'm sure folks will adjust and still play. Although, I HIGHLY DOUBT that this will become a norm.  

I fully agree with you about what I s the new norm. It is always changing.  

Based on conversations with other providers I am surprised many of these clients are on top of the system enough to send references of any sort in their first communication.
Keep your standards and stay safe

I require a little chit chat by phone before any session.  It makes the actual meet more comfortable.

Some of us older gents have a bit of a hearing problem, so we don't necessarily like phone conversations.  If anybody speaks lightly or if their phone's microphone isn't particularly high fidelity, it is often very hard to understand what is being said.

I sent a neck-down pic once to a provider who was looking only for clients with bods that met her standards (mine didn't), but I have to say "no thanks" on a face shot.  And I've never been asked to do that.

Next time, send the scheduler a dick pic. Under the circumstances, that seems appropriate and sufficient.
