Is it just me, or does this seem to be trend? I don't care for the trails myself. The hobby phone is a better way to go IMO.

It seems to me that most of the ladies with rates in the $$$(+) range list an email address for contact but only a few list that as their only method of contact.  Go to Backpage and look at the 200/hr and sub-200 "specials" and I'd be surprised to find a single legitimate ad with an email address.

I definitely prefer email for first contact; of course I generally schedule more than a few days in advance.  If an email isn't listed or I'm interested in a same day meeting or 1-2 days out, then I try a text (as long as I don't see a note saying not to text).  I'm no fan of texting outside the hobby, but the response usually is fast, there's no voicemail back-and-forth, it's discreet and making an appointment is just as easy as calling.

when I had my phone number listed, it attracts alot the last minute, impulsive, horny, immature guys with no references.....I think email has a tendency to filter those kinds of people out...... Because!  it requires planning ahead a bit. Although, I do check my email every 10 minutes because Im a bit OCD!

Email to confirm.  Seems like the most courteous way to go - and the least likely to lead to miscommunication.

Also opens the door for short-notice appointments.

If your concern is keeping your own email hidden, consider using a separate browser not kept on your desktop. Doesn't mean you might also need the hobby phone, of course.

I have heard it is possible to install a browser on a flash drive and plug that in to your computer when you want to do hobby-related activities.  Any electronic trails will be left on the flash drive and if you only access your hobby email through the browser on your flash drive then that keeps the trail off the computer.  However, I haven't tried this myself so I don't know for sure how well or easy it works.

One thing I will say is that, while texting, emailing or phone might be your preference, it's important to know it's not convenient for others.  That goes for all of us :-)

I always recommend contacting providers the way they would like to be contacted first or use both forms as one might be easier than others.  I know I have had people ask me about texting and why I don't return texts.  Simply because I don't have texting available on the phone service I use.  I don't get texts AT ALL.  I know other ladies who don't have internet on their phones or available at all times (like many providers do have the luxury of) and so email is really bad for them.  For me,  it's ideal because I'm not always by myself or with people the would understand why I ask people what kind of lingerie they prefer me to wear while I'm on the phone in the middle of Target. hehe.

So being mindful of preferences is key but if you can't comply with the preference, try 2 other methods; calling and emailing on TER.  Email and text, Email on P411 and text, ect.

I understand that.
The things I dislike the most about phone contact is :
People who have no sense of discretion or respect when calling .
Texters I hate having to text so only my established friends are allowed the privilege.
Im a bit Ocd too so both works.

Except for the one liner emails such as:
Are you available?  Then nothing else on their end after politely responding.

I don't have to worry but thought I was clever having multiple browsers. But a quick search revealed lots of these private flash drive browsers have been out for some time.

Such a simple, elegant solution! It appears you can buy applications, or drives with the apps already installed.

Now the main question for those that DO have to worry is where to keep the flash drive ...

Local caching is easy to side step. Believe it or not, your ISP and the first router you touch keep track of you more than you'd care to know. Google data has been involved in murder cases for searches that happened over a year prior.
