As many of you know, I write a lot of reviews. I don't really enjoy it for the most part but it's the safest way to keep my VIP status or maybe I'm just tight, whatever. Without our reviews, this site may shrivel up and disappear.

So why are so many VIP's content to pay up and then come here and not ever or rarely write a review?  Jerthebear recently posted that he no longer bothers because his first review efforts were unapproved. Others have said all should pay to help minimize fake reviews but then they don't write any themselves..  I respect everyone's right to do as they please but this site could be so much more helpful if everyone participated.

You don't have to be a great writer or go to great lengths to describe your adventures, or in many cases, misadventures. Just tell it like it is and we will all benefit.

For myself, I hate writing reviews.    I see your point though and I thank all the hobbyist that do write reviews....

Thank you!!!

saying that, why can't a hobbyist PM a fellow hobbyist and just ask the other hobbyist their favorites?

I have written a few (less then 10) but have seen close to 80-90 wonderful ladies and usually have regular ladies I see often.

So for me, just ask me.       You tell me, who's your favorites?      See isn't that easy

I really appreciate honest reviews but take each, positive, average or poor, with a grain of salt. I find it useful too to remember which hobbyist give honest reviews and which ones seem to be overinflated with their ratings. I know too though that poor reviews are sometimes given for reasons other than the actual experince though this is likely rare. We know also that there are fake reviews written. I've heard from a number of providers that there are many more sessions than there are reviews written. I'd be curious to learn the average ratios though I think it may depend somewhat on the rates asked by the providers. Also, it seems like the really well off hobbyists (not me) likely decline to review in order to better protect their identities.

I couldn't tell you numbers, but I'm guessing it approximates the average ratio of a drop in a bucket. Many gentlemen who hire ladies don't hang out on TER, and even many of the ones who do say they are more interested in discretion than they are in writing reviews. So it goes.

I believe you are right! The more money you have, the more it makes sense not to take a risk by writing reviews. What's $75 for a 3-month membership when you could lose millions? I, too, value the guys who do write reviews. BTW, I think it would be interesting if providers wrote reviews. Pretty sure I and others would find out that we are not as special as we think we are.

The first review I wrote a couple years ago was unapproved because they said it lacked detail. I re-wrote and re-submitted and the mod still rejected it, even though there are some reviews that are literally three or four sentences long.

The second review I wrote was a somewhat negative experience I had with a provider who had all glowing, great reviews. I wrote about some unpleasant odors from her...body odor and vaginal, and that she is overweight, which you can see from her pics anyway. But I really went into detail about what it's like to be with a larger woman. Anyway, it got approved and posted. She saw it and told the mod that I was making it up and that she never saw me. The mod took it down. So that's why I no longer bother writing them.

If I am the first, or among the first, to see a new provider I will write a review - good, bad, or indifferent. But I don't TOFTT all that often. Mostly I see established women with some volume of reviews already. If I have an experience that is substantially worse than the reviews suggest, I will write a review. But that almost never happens because I do my research in advance. If I see a woman and have a really great time I will certainly write a review, for myself as much as anyone else. There are a couple women who have retired now, but I can go back and read the review I wrote and relive the experience with clarity. Those reviews write themselves and are as much fun to write as they are to read and reread.

Then there are the women with lots of reviews, some recent, which accurately predicted the experience I just had with her. That happens a lot, the review system working as intended, and it's hard to generate the energy to write her another one that just regurgitates what has been said before. If she asked me for a review, I'll try to write one. If I feel the need for a couple weeks of VIP, I'll try to write one. In either case, writers block will be an issue when I feel I have nothing useful to add to the discussion.

I've been paid VIP at various times and my production of reviews didn't change at all. Maybe I'm perceived as writing "inflated" reviews because so many of them are good. I'm not going to churn out a bunch of ho hum reviews just to boost my credibility.

Oh, I would LOVE to be able to write some reviews!!!  Oh yea!  It is more for the great clients that I just love than anything.  I'd love to share how happy they make me!

For my first year, I wrote reviews to keep up my VIP.  But, it got old, constantly trolling to find new ladies to see just for the sake of a review.  I wished I could repeat with some, but i had to keep finding new ladies.  I finally figured out (only in the last month!) how to pay for VIP without leaving a paper or electronic trail that I didn't want to leave, so I paid for a year.  That's been a HUGE burden off my shoulders, and now I can repeat to my heart's content, and see new ladies when I really want to.  Don't get me wrong: I've seen three new ladies since I got the year's VIP, so I will continue to do that.  But, it's nice to be able to do more repeats now without worrying about VIP.

Another reason for writing a review, though, especially if it's a good one, is to thank the lady publicly.  So, I've reviewed people like Hilary and Portia and Wendy, even though they need one more review like a hole in the head.  I wanted to add my own voice to the chorus, with my own "take" on the session.

I too have taken to writing reviews for new ladies, as someone said, as it helps them get established in the business.  I've only given one poor review to a new lady; I was the second reviewer, but subsequent reviews have borne out my judgment.

And, finally, writing reviews serves as my own little personal journal.  I can go back and read the reviews and relive the memories.  So, I do put some time and effort into the reviews, as they will bring me pleasure in the future as I look back and smile.

So, a VIP membership for a year costs about $240.  Can you estimate how many women you saw, that you wouldn't have seen otherwise, so you could avoid paying for a VIP membership?

You should get yourself a financial advisor, or a calculator.

I may be slow, but not that slow.

I did enjoy the variety in the beginning--kid in a candy shop and all that--but, as I said, it got old.

Where I WAS slow was in not understanding TER's cash option.  I read it several times over the months, and it seemed like a complicated, opaque process.  I finally realized I COULD do it without leaving any identifying information anywhere, so that's when I went for it.

I do it for the above reason. This is their business. It's my responsibility as a good client, I figure. I really don't like it. It's rather tawdry. But since I don't see many ladies, and the ones I do are very good, I write reviews to be a good client.

I understand the need to be cautious, but I have been paying for TER on a credit card for over 10 years with no complications.  On the other hand, I don't want to write reviews because 1) I like to do things with providers that neither of us would want discussed in a review, and 2)I don't want to create the potential paper trails that go along with reviews.  Having said that, my caution is likely negated by the nonsense that I post on this forum.

I write for the pleasure of being able to express my elation in doing something extraordinary, other than sit in the recliner and watch TV at a senior age. My reviews are not poetic, but more of a technical review. They are factual, and may be bland, but I love to write about unusual circumstances. One that comes to mind is an ON review with SG several years ago (now erased with a handle change), when much of the late night was spent at a strip club, for the pleasure of both of us. It caused her problems trying to duplicate that date for those who wanted to follow the exact same script.  Another is the ON I recently spent on a fishing trip, with the accommodating companion Freyja. I prefer to date "locals",  making it easier to form a "connection", making it possible to do something like having an outdoor fish fry following the next date with my fishing partner. Another review is the time we........oops, no need to bore you again.......

The profile allows a max. of 8 for a performance yet
I see 9s and 10s all the time!  I think it would be easy to incorporate an IF statement into the computer code at review "analyze and verify" time down at TER headquarters and kick it back saying
"Maximum performance score allowed is an X, please reduce the performance score".

Reasons why I write a review:
* credit
* warning
* bored
* traveling, who cares
* out of town, who cares

Reasons why I don't:
* atf, I'll keep her to myself
* she's a good dyi massage provider, but i won't get any VIP credit anyway
* for obvious reasons it's bad to leave any find of electronic "paper" trail!

After a recent issue with a provider, I'm gun shy about writing reviews. I know it helps the community and I like to think it helps the lady, too. However, when a gal turns psycho, and you've already written a glowing review, there isn't anything you can do.

Now I'm thinking I'll wait until at least the 3rd session before I even think about writing a good review, and stick to writing the bad reviews right away and never go back.

Probably not a good reason for most,  but I wrote one review in my life.   It was quite detailed and I wrote it on a site called MyFastPass.  Two months later the site was busted,   I shit bricks.  I told myself I was never writing another.  One does have to be true to oneself periodically.
Because I don't write reviews,  even though I have been a TER member since 2006,  I am mostly shunned by the users on this site.  I can't be trusted.
Fortunately in the last year a couple members have started trusting me and I do have  the occasional banter on PM.  That feels nice to be able to tell someone your secrets to!  Have a good day!

I do this for one reason - convenience.

Writing reviews is not convenient, it's a hassle. You have to either write some watered down laundry list of acronyms, or resubmit multiple times to make it PC enough for all the uber-sensitive mongers to view it. And god forbid you have a negative opinion, you'd better handle it with kid gloves.

My personality doesn't jive well with the current standards. I can't even give a girl a nice compliment, like calling her a slut. And sensorship to any degree, save for an outing of personal information, seems silly in a venue such as this.

Ad gets erased before approved (a fucking WEEK  later) - resubmit. Used a "slanderous" word, the definition of which is completely arbitrary and often inconsistant - resubmit. Not graphic enough - resubmit. Too graphic - resubmit. Doesn't fall in line with her other reviews - resubmit. She complains about it - VETOED.

Not to mention, you have to answer a gazillion questions just to get to the part where you actually start writing, and answering those questions changes NOTHING in the profile which makes it completely fucking pointless to answer them. Irritating.

I'll write one if she asks for it. But if I have to resubmit more than once, then fuck it. Time is priceless, $30 a month - $1 a day - is nothing, you can't buy a coffee for that. Well worth it not to have to jump all the hurdles in the review process.

1)  You can always wait a while to write the review; she may no longer be able to figure out who you are if it was a month or two in the past
2)  You can write  a second review; if approved it replaces the first one.  Perfect for situations, both good and bad, where there was a significant difference in her behavior, etc.
