A provider is requiring me to fill out date-check.
Gives out a lot of info. I don't feel comfortable giving out.
Any thoughts/bad experiences with this.
How common?
I'm new to the game...

if you don't feel comfortable don't do it. Can you get other providers to give you a ref?

Either ask if she will accept something you are comfortable with as verification or move on and try to see someone else.

After a lot of hesitation, no doubt for the same reasons you have, I recently agreed to sign onto P411. I have to admit that once you realize that the information you give out can almost all be found by using online seach engines, it is not as invasive as you would think. P411 is based in Toronto where it is legal. The benefit of course is that I was able to get immediate dates and I could feel more comfortable knowing that the provider was at least discriminating enough to require a more thorough background check.  Good luck!

I've been a Date-Check memeber for a long time. I've had no problems and it works for me. Instead of paying monthly, it's best to just get the lifetime membership. It paid off for me.

It is far more discreet and safe to provide P411 or Datecheck with personal information than to provide that to a provider or agency directly.  P411 nor Datecheck will release that info.  You have control over what is made public.

The other way to avoid giving out any personal info is to find a lady who is already a member of either site and who might be willing to verify you in other ways.  Once she has seen you, she can be the verification you need for membership.  I recently did this to obtain membership in Datecheck, and the membership is also then free.  If you go through the sign-up steps on the site, you will eventually have a form where there is a pull-down list of all current MN provider members.  Its a start.  On P411 there are several ladies that have themselves listed publicly (many only reveal their identity to members).

There are a LOT of women who tend to think that the only verification needed is to ask you if you are LE.  Among those I would stick with the ones that are well reviewed.

Good luck.

is that your info does NOT go to the provider AND they can be assured of your legitimacy. I think it is win-win.

I'm registered with Date-check, RS2K, and P411 now. Truth be told, I have only used them on rare occasions b/c I generally stick to the same ladies I have always seen, and they are well-established and legitimate.

But still, third party verification is not a bad idea if you are serious about the hobby.
