Actually women were pretty repressed in Soviet Russia, they had the right to work like dogs but were largely treated like second class citizens in many cases. Sexual harrasment and abuse was common place but kept UTR.

A real Russian woman tends to be proud, stubborn and capable of doing what she must to survive. And certainly would not be above marrying to get a Visa.

And most are damn good looking! Nothing like the old sterio type of the fat woman in a heavy coat and scarf. Hell there was not enough food for them to get fat.
