TER editors are asleep at the wheel. I'm going to write my next review in Wookiee and see if they catch it.

You'd think that a site that makes it's money from reviews would have automated checking for plagiarism on it's own site, if not Google as well.

That is such a transparent attempt to just get free VIP.

Someone on TER wanted free VIP membership, so he went to another website where I was reviewed.  He  copied an entire review about me, written by a different hobbyist.  The original review was from several years ago.  But, the plagiarizer copied the entire review verbatim and submitted it to TER.  I immediately recognized the review, and had the plagiarized one taken down.  

Unethical shenanigans run rampant on this website.

Nah.  The amusement factor far outweighed the damage.
