After several bad reviews, it changed it's name and set up shop in Chicago!

Does anyone know what ever happened to Killebrew soda? I used to drink that stuff all the time, but I haven't seen it in like 10 years. I don't know if they went out of business or what. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.

I think it was just root beer, wasn't it?

It's the kind thing that takes us back to our younger days, provide fond memories or a simpler life, the smell of a ball park, a summer day, a time when we were care free and fancy free. The taste still lingerie's in your mind, the brain is crying out I am in need a taste to bring back those days, like a fine wine or beautiful lady boy those where the good old days. It also like remembering high school your first house or apartment etc.....

You finally get your hands on a can of this ice cold drink of Killebrew soda, you pop the top the smell is intoxicating you put your lips up to the can to drink, the anticipation is just too much....then you drink and that first taste...kind of makes you want to split this shit out! Once again that damn brain has suppressed those old memories, you read the bottom of the can and it says: warning nursing women do not drink, has caused cancer in laboratory rats and then it all comes racing back to you: Kill Brew is what they used to call it in the old days - isn't our memory always trying to trick us!!!

It is a rootbeer and it was unique because it used honey for the sweetener instead of corn syrup or cane sugar (1919 rootbeer). It is still availabe ot lunds and byerly's. Hope that helps. Sorry, not a funny or witty response, maybe next time.

Small world. I work with the guy who makes the stuff. He said he's going to try and get his root beer back out there. I tried some the other day, not bad.
