I'd care to touch base on a conversation that I had with a wonderful gentleman lately.  It concerned the topic of references.  He brought to my attention that upon giving the special ladie friends contact info to follow up on it has occured that the reference gal(s) have, at times, conveniently reached the gentleman about getting together vs. the other individual.  I did find it surprising, but not odd.  Not tactful, by any means, in my own opinion though.  I thought of it this way..... Can you imagine frequenting the St. Louis Park McDonalds and one day finding yourself stopping by the Golden Valley McDonalds...it comes to the St. Louis Parks knowledge and they call up you and persuade you not to eat at Golden Valley?.

I could elaborate more, but mainly just looking for opinions.  Is this an often occurance?  Uncomfy situation?  Tactless?  ~Or all is good in love & war (open game situation)?

Just an inquiring mind that wants your insight (not going to change mine, but interested),

I have never had this happen to me but have wondered if it happened to others.  I think that it is somewhat tacky.  This really is not love or war.  One of the reasons that many of us frequent the providers is the lack of committment in the relationship.  So, if we choose to visit another provider that is our right.

Everyone, have a great Thanksgiving!

Variety is the name of the game. That's the whole point
of the hobby.

At best, a regular provider
might be in a rotation of 5 or 6 other regular providers, and be
seen once a month or so.  Cooperation in being a
reference would help keep the provider in the rotation.

You don't stop seeing a provider you enjoy because of a new provider. It often stops the current provider from feeling like a marriage you tired of. Interducing a new provider is also good for a man's ego, he feels your worthy of her trust

I have had a provider, who, when I asked her if she would give a reference said yes. When the other provider called she would not answer the phone (she has caller ID and she almost always answers my calls or calls back in a timely manner) In a 15 minute period I would call-get an answer, other provider call-no answer, I call again-get answer, other Provider call again- no answer, I call 3rd time-she picks up.  She apparently had no intention of giving a reference even thou I have seen her many times before and since.

incentive would be for a provider whom now is not getting your business, to give a reference? Although at that point we do find out what kind of person we shared intimate time with.
