A few days ago, I publicly accused Missy of standing me up.  

I think it's a good use of this board to share information when a provider is regularly standing up clients.  However, this clearly wasn't what happened here.  I acted rashly.  I'd spent nearly an hour waiting outside a hotel plus an hour on the road and getting showered/dressed up etc--all for nothing...  And then the next morning I read about people exclaiming how awesome she was... I got jealous and angry.  I posted in haste only to get a rational explanation from Missy.

When people act rashly like I did, the boards become a real pain in the butt and the sense of community is lost.  The board is for sharing information, not airing laundry.  As some of you have pointed out, she's a class act and that stopped the downward spiral from happening...  Also, thanks to the rest of you for not attacking me--you've all said "Missy's a class act" rather than "this guy's a shmuck."  Well, let me say it for you:  I was total a shmuck.  

I had hoped to reschedule with Missy, but couldn't.  Certainly I didn't deserve to see her after acting the way I did.  Justice served.  Let that be a lesson to all of us.  Well-mannered and thoughtful communication is the answer to all of society's ills.

I do think you deserve some recognition for being willing to admit your own mistakes.  Too many of us react to being critisized by getting defensive instead of being willing to own up to our own errors.  Hopefully we can look at this as an example of how to behave when we screw up.

Great job for correcting a wrong!  Very top shelf on your part!  Maybe next time around she will see you once you get the communication part squared away.  Don't write her off yet....she does not hold grudges.

we all give in to our frustrations from time to time, part of being human, what you have done here is to be commended, this is the correct way to handle things gone a little "shmucky"
