Bogus reviews get posted.

Some for the sake of two free weeks of VIP.

Others for a variety of reasons too varied to even try to group or assign a motive.

Some reviewers write amazing, well thought out reviews, that describe sessions without revealing details that
would make anyone involved nervous.

Other folks cut n paste from other reviews and other sites, and yeah sometimes include details about location
that would make anyone trying to stay out of LE's cross hairs nervous as hell.

I have noticed that for some massage providers there are some reviews that are way different than the other reviews.  For example, most reviews of a provider going as Treasure on various webs sites and TER state that her sessions are therapeutic only.  But one reviewer showed a highly erotic session.

I have seen other reviews for providers that I have seen where the reported activities are way different.  One popular provider is CBJ only.  She is known for adeptly putting on  the condom with her mouth.  l will note that the mouth trick that is the only explanation that seen plausible based on my reading of the reviews.  Having experienced that with another provider that I believe has been delisted it would make sense.  Yet one reviewer has fluids being swallowed.

You get the point.

I just wonder; are some reviewers just having fun posting wishful thinking?  Or positioning themselves are serious magnetic studs?  Are the reviewers so charming that the rules for them are way different, even on the first visit?

Or are the rules for some providers extremely fluid?  Are some providers seriously bending their own rules?

I followed the review trail for some of the outliers.  They tend to have multiple out of the norm reviews.

Would love to hear your take.

There are several explinations. Some reviews are embellished, some missing a few details, some fake all together. Some related to confused or distorted memory. Over all though, EVERY session is YMMV. I can also say (for me anyway) that YES some clients do take a special place in my heart & I most certainly bend the rules for them.

My suggestion would be to look at the over-all details in the provider's reviews & expect nothing more than what the majority has reported.

Had a discussion on this recently with a provider I know pretty well.  I had noticed some, uh, far-out reviews for her in TER--one in particular seemed very uncharacteristic of this lady.  So next time I saw her, I brought it up and she said, "The guy LIED!"  Her thought was, she did not do something he wanted her to do, so he simply put in his review what he WISHED she had done.

I was then surprised when she told me there's nothing she can do about reviews like that (other than never seeing that client again) except pull her profile from TER and start over--which would be a shame because she has a large number of great reviews.

People who post lies in reviews, especially lies that have the provider doing things she didn't do and which she doesn't want clients to think she would do, are lower than low.

Agreed especially when they leave low ratings for out of the ordinary services.
I believe most hobbyists take reviews with a grain of salt though.
Like me for instance I'm a massage lady so YMMV most of the time. I only need them to validate my legitimacy.

I've taken to asking providers, at the end of a session, if there is anything we did that they don't want me to put in the review.  Surprisingly, some providers say 'yes, please don't mention xxx or yyy.  I don't usually do that.'

I then leave those details out when I write the review.

Such as
1) The review is a fake
2) The encounter happened but the reviewer exaggerated for whatever reason
3) YMMV; sometimes a provider will do more than she usually does
When going through the reviews of someone I have not seen before, I give less weight to the outliers and I definitely consider the review history of the reviewers.  And if you are fortunate enough to get a YMMV situation that is better than expected then be aware that if you mention it in a review, she might be upset that you did so because then other guys expect it also.
