Very funny that you posted THIS lyric next to my post from "Why Georgia"! At John Meyer's concert he broke from "Why Georgia" INTO "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" in the most wonderful transition, I nearly went wild. I wish I had a recording of that!!
I found some quotes recently which made me smile...thought I would share!
"A man's face is his autobiography. A woman's face is her work of fiction." Oscar Wilde
I love that...because I sincerely find your autobiography interesting!! As for my "work of fiction, I think you will enjoy that as well!
"You can never get enough of what you do not NEED to make you happy" Eric Hoffer
Hmmmmm...this one I'm keeping in mind through the holiday season to stay away from chocolate and cookies!! Keep in mind, this is about basic needs; Water, food, exercise, sex, and intimacy ARE all NEEDS!!!
Any fun ones that you've read or heard and enjoyed?
AND even better, there are a dozen great quotes in the Seven Words You Can't say on TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgZZ82tp5es (11 minutes but well worth it, and a gem starting at about 2:45)
Life isn't about surviving the storm but how to dance in the rain { or in MN the snow } LOL another one.....I use to be snow white but then I drifed..... Mae West.......
we have a thread on a "little board " in fact MN was our second largest market that started in AZ and we have a quote thread on there that had many wonderful quote and another clever threat done in the Jeff Foxworthy style that went like this .....You know your a provider if......that one was very funny pm me if you want to know about this fun little Board maybe you can get MN active there too!
One of my favorite contemporary lyricists is John Mayer. Here's a few lines from his song, Why Georgia:
"Everybody is just a stranger but that's the danger in going my own way I guess it's the price I have to pay still "Everything happens for a reason" is no reason not to ask myself If I'm living it right...."

This is not EXACTLY as I remember it, but it's close. Here he starts out with Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, does a corney transition into Why Georgia...but then around minute 5:40 or so he brings the first song back into Why Georgia again. The concert I saw he actually sang lyrics from Sitting on the Dock again before finishing the Why Georgia song.
