I’ve stayed in just about every hotel in Bloomington in the last year and very few, if any, require key card access. The problem is that since COVID many hotels have had the front doors locked 24 hours a day. I had a pretty good work-around but with the lack of people traveling and using hotels it got too risky as blending in wasn’t an option anymore. It’s definitely got more relaxed in the last few months but many of them still lock the doors after 10pm. Although they aren’t all very consistent with it so I couldn’t tell you which ones do and which don’t.

Would love to know this also.  I've stayed in 3 different ones in the past couple of months and they all required key card either to enter front door, or use the elevator
