To all the wonderful ladies of the Minneapolis area, Veterans Day is coming up shortly, Friday, November 11.  I was wondering how many of you would willing to offer some specials to our Veterans who have proudly served our great country.

Thread has been read 142 times, 90% guys and probably 10% providers and no providers gives a sh$t about vet.
I have two brothers serving.  I'm thinking about giving $300 each and set them up w/my ATF.  Then wait for death to come if their wives finds out.

This is purely philosophical and not meant to be rude but when I served I didn't do it for any kind of benefits or perks.

I did it because it was the right thing for me to do.  I don't draw on the VA, I never take advantage of special programs,  I don't get free meals at restaraunts.

I applaud when some idiot like Kapernik doesn't stand for the national anthem, I don't get bent out of shape when someone burns a flag.

I served for the idea of freedom.  Freedom being whatever you want it to be.

So ladies feel free to thank a veteran come Veteran's Day,  make his or her day incredible!   I won't see you because of some special offer for VD (see what I did there?), I'll see you because doing so is a part being free.

I agree with everything you wrote except about Kaepernick.  While I served to protect this country and our freedoms, and his right to take his knee, I think he is a disgusting puke.  And I also served for my right to think as I do.  A guy making millions of dollars per year saying this country is oppressive just disgusts me.  But I'm with you on everything else you wrote.  I know there are a few restaurants that will give a discount and some stores now and then, but I have never ever asked for a discount.  It was my decision and my honor and privilege to serve.

BTW---  The Marine Corps birthday is Nov 10....day before Veteran's Day.

To my fellow Marines:  Semper Fi.
To my fellow vets: Thank you!

$300 each, for your brothers serving?  You've claimed to spend more than that every day, on average, on providers. Surely you could give your brothers more than an hour with your ATF.  How about paying their way for one of those 5-in-one-day parties in Vegas you've told us you've enjoyed?  :)

I'm all for freedom, too, but I disagree about Kapernik and the national anthem. Sure, he can do that but I'll never respect him for that nor would I ever be friends with that person or others who do that. Same with flag burners, won't be friends with or associate with.

I'm much more flexible about bra burners.

I'm just a massage guy so it's unlikely we'll ever meet, but as a USMC veteran, I thank you for acknowledging veterans. All gave some. Some gave all.
