I use it all the time to buy stuff online & pay for auctions. It's quick & easy, free (at least for the payer) Iv'e never had any problems with it. And I can choose where I want the money to come from- checking acct, visa, etc.
I might be a little hesitant to use it to pay for a provider donation especially if I haven't seen her before or don't know her very well. Because basically you are paying cash in advance, and then if she doesn't show or something else goes wrong... well, that wouldn't be good.

Paypal has is good and bad.  The good is that you have thew "business" taken care of ahead of time. The bad can be you leave a paper trail of activity and the possibility of the lady standing you up.

I would be hesitant to use unless she was a know provider from the "A" list.

Paypal has started stopping payments on adult oriented websites.  Several providers nationally have lost money because of this.

This is an issue to consider when dealing with Paypal. They have the right to cancel the transaction for any reason and hold funds from both parties. If this happens, neither party may ever see the funds again due to the number of hoops PP's customer service makes them jump through. There are countless stories online from those who have been affected by this. Also, the payor can request a cancellation of payment due to poor service (whether justified or not) and this possibility can cause allot of inconvenience after the appointment. A dishonest client could use this to their advantage. Unless you are very careful to protect your identity when opening the account you supply to Paypal, you will have provided a direct link back to you should trouble arise.

Having played around with payment portals,

Paypal for private services is good for customers you already trust.  But no matter what, like this board and other web things, it leaves a paper trail that is archived for life. In all liklihood, this won't mean anything serious for anyone. But you never know.  I haven't looked in the legality closely, but I am fairly certain paypal as an entity of ebay can not seize and keep money from illegal or suspect transactions.  They can temporarily freeze and report that money, just like a bank and in some cases are required to do so by law.  But law enforcement and court orders are the only thing that can take the paypal money.

2. using paypal for a questionable activity with an untrusted source is very risky.

3. Consider some discreet alternatives to paypal.  Many are out there.
