First, thank you to those that have had such nice words for Mystique and its Ladies...all of us very much appreciate that...

Why have we slowed up on out Touring of Minneapolis?

When Mystique first came into the market many of you embraced us with open arms and kindness that we had really not experienced in other cities to the extent we did here...  we started at a $300 introductory price point so you could experience the caliber of our Companions and hopefully see that our goal was to provide you with the Best Hobbying Experience possible for the Dollars Spent..

We then moved our price point to its now position of $350...Part of this was due to increased cost of traveling but in all honesty our ladies just did not want to tour for less...

Many have written and ask why has India not returned to the area....India is one of a very few Exotics in the country....Her price point is now $500 and in the cities she tours she has no problem booking at that price....I did not want to see her bashed on this board for that is exactly what would happen if I booked her in here at her now rate......not worth the drama...

Couple that with all the drama that has been swirling, the outing of Hobbyist to their SO's which was occuring right before Mystique came to Minn, the first time, when many Hobbyist went underground and the market suffered, to now where it seems to be more orchestrated and targeted it lends us to feel their is "Danger In Them Their Woods"......

All of us at Mystique love Minnesota and dearly enjoy being a part of the community, but folks your community is fractured.....split into too many camps who all fight each other....a wise man once said.....

Better to Light The Candles Than Curse The Darkness

Mystique is fortunate to be based in a community that is together and believes in watching each others back for the good of all....do we have our differences on occasion...yes....but we never let that lead to blatantly trying to hurt someone or out them to anyone..................

Maybe Tiger with Fast Pass or some of the other leaders in this community can help turn you back to the Fun Of The Hobby and lose the meaness and the backbiting and backstabbing that appears to be here based on the post I have read so far....I truly hope so as Mystique misses it's friends in Minnesota.....

Mystique does not tour that many places and in Minnesota wanted to really be a partner in this community as we are in Phx...Your city is special and hopefully all will come to realize that and bridge the gaps that exist............

I apologize for this long post but as the Headline says "its just a view from the sidelines"....

Thanks for listening....

Jack

A little bird told me that Maricopa was the safest county in the nation thanks to radical Sheriff Joe...or in spite of him.  I may have to come down some time.

I hope Minnesota gets its act together real soon.  Meanwhile, there is always Chicago....

And I notice them bitch and whine any time a lady or agency attempts to break through the $300.00/hr glass ceiling...

And while I consider it their right to complain,(reguardless of how wrong they are!) it is also within the rights of the supply-side of the market to shout back and put them in their place on this board!

A ladies' time is worth whatever amount she can charge for it and the market will bear! NOT what the market "thinks" their time is worth!

-- A 3000 day search of this board for posts containing the word "prices" or "increase" is quite revealing at who it is screaming about prices! I see a long-standing pattern!

The supply-side of the market bears no responsibility to make their services affordable to the customer base... The only thing the supplier has to do is make their goods or services  ATTRACTIVE to their potential market! The money issue will take care of it's self!

I may have been lumped with that group but months back I changed my stance on that!
Every woman has there own self worth!!.. so IMHO if they are above your rate stop knocking them for it, either see them or don't it's that easy…

I have been watching a continued battle over this very thing with Lora Maze... and her rate has not stopped me from wanting to see her!
So if your going to Vegas or Chicago I would recommend her to anyone that is willing to pay the price!

yup, I'm guilty of being a cheap bastard myself, but have learned it's much more satisfying to save up for someone good.  Quality vs. quantity.  I've seen ads on CL for as little as 50.  Scary stuff.  Some good porno will be better than that.

Jack this will blow over and I have a feeling it is really over blown already.  We need good, sexy, wonderful, fun babes to come to the area.

Variety is the spice of the hobby, so please let the girls come even if their rate is higher, I am sure there is a market, maybe not Huge like Chicago, but there still is a market for the Girls that you bring to our fair city.

I couldn't agree more.  The market will shake out any price point over what the market will bear.  Jack, send your ladies to us at whatever price point your ladies desire.  We (TC market) will either pay or not pay.  If we pay, we are all happy.  If we don't pay, don't send them back.  Don't let a few whiners try to dictate prices.  Personally, I believe extravagance is justified in certain contexts and Jack's ladies are among the best this market experiences.

(I won't share her info, so don't bother asking! Lol!)
She's a 19 yo, 100# native-american,
non-pro, I "discovered" her over the summer and came up with a comfortable arrangement, BUT it was on HER TERMS!
I just wanted a fun, cheap backup plan when on the  options don't work put, and she's happy to be that girl for me... (I had a visiting Jamaican girl fill that role last winter. It was nice, and also helped me keep a level head when I was out "scouting" to know I has some go-to puss to fall back on if my point-mission came up short...

Often price translates more into professionalism/time more than it does preformance/looks, and to many men that is more impotrant than anything!
It's as diversified of a marketplace a  the auto industry... Some need high fuel economy, some need luxury and preformance, yet others need a big SUV, or the grunt of a large diesel dually! All these come at a variety of price-points at many levels of reliablity and quality...

But the one thing both industries suffer from is a glut of choices, thus creating a buyers-market, and unfortunately along with the struggle for limited available dollars, some choose to taint or eliminate  their competition rarher than focus on sales/quality/percieved value issues!

My post was not all about Rates.....The Hobbyist in Minnesota had accepted our rates but I am aware that there are those that will not or do not pay our Tour rate and of course that is their right...

My Post is about Community Unity....coming together to enjoy what this is suppose to all be about....Fun, excitement and having a great time together....

That takes old wounds healing and everyone deciding that whats good for all is good for one...safe, careful and being constantly viligant in your Hobby.......

I certainly don't want to sound or act like some white knight on this issue but until the Community solves its fractured state nothing will change.....

The leaders in this community have to take hold and help make this happen...it does not happen by itself.....remember the journey begins with that first step.....

My hope is that some of this communities leaders will grasp this and begin to help heal old wounds and try and bring everyone together again so all can have fun and "enjoy their hobby"....

Forgive me for being long winded again...but the simple truth is I think Minneapolis is a special Hobby city and I would love to see it united....

Years before TER even had a TwinCities board! Infact, the whole reason this board even got started was drama related to what was happening on TBD!
The roots of people outing eachother, threatening eachother, calling eachother's homes and families, mailing copies of girls reviews to their parents, stalking eachother, taking pictures of lisence plates, staking out incall hotspots, attempting to manipulate the boards (and BBS before that!)and the information flow goes back 10+ years!!!
The REAL issue with Minnesota: We are too small and too isolated, with too many girls competing for too few men.... It's as old of problem as the history of the hobby it's self in these parts... It's not going to change, we can stop the folw of information like other towns, and everyone can just bury their heads in the sand and pretend everything is all sunnshine and smiles, but it doesn't make it stop happening! It only produces a uphoricly false sense that everything is peachy....

Hey! Trivia for the old timers: How many of you were chased down and photographed by that old brownish gold van full of "conserned citizens" back in the day when you were trying to go to the local AMPs? (late 80's/early 90's)
I was! and that's when I realized that there was alot at stake here! That's when I decided to be a little more "stealthy" about how I hobby!

Nothing new under the sun....

I got what you were saying, and my original response at the top of the thread wasn't meant to make this a price issue... But "price control" is part of what fractured our community in the first place! There was an underhanded effort 5+ years ago by a group of providers to discurage competition with fear... Then there were other attempts by hobbiests to control some ladies by fear and threat, then there were some colaberations between providers and hobbiests to hurt/out/scare other hobbiest and a few providers, ect, ect... and what you are seeing now are the after-effects of this drama and the acting out of the mis-trust that goes on out there! Then to compound issues, any time these and other serious hobby-issues were attempted to be discussed, it was removed from the boards and people were moderated or banned for it... The freedom to discuss these things is only 1 year and 14 days old! So the prosess is still in it's early stages... And what some people see as caos is really just the residue of old issues that are finally getting aired out, blended with some new issues, making it all seem bigger than it really is...

Yes... I wished this community could pull it's self together and have some mutual respect for both hobbiest and provider.
But some just don't like to play fair, bashing each other is not going to solve anything. The finger pointing and rumors of who did what needs to stop!
Some of the people in this hobby community need to come clean and be honest with them selves and how they do their business. It is the responsible of ALL of us to make this a safe environment to play in. Until all the finger pointing stops and yes even you Ben like to put little twists in what you say… this will be a fractured community.
There are people out there like Tiger trying to make this a fun and active community. We even had the attempt by Jack an outsider try and share with us here… I thank you both for your efforts!

But I guess I will just have to keep my rose colored glasses on…. Fletch

Damn right what I say has some twists to it! The difference here is what each of us hope for as an end result to this!
I still fail to see what MY agenda is! When you figure it out, let me know,,, It will be easier for me to work towards that goal if I know what I'm working towards...

Did we really feel so secure back in the day when info was repressed? Or did we feel secure that one side of the story was repressed???

My ajenda was clear in the begining, I hated the fact that when something REALLY FUCKING IMPORTANT was posted, it was removed and covered over with sunnshine and smiles!
I Damn near got arrested during the MNGC bust because the fear of the truth caused the TBD moderator to pull any and all info related to what was going on, and since I was an isolationist, I had no network of contacts to email or call to know what was happening! IF the truth of what had been brewing there would have been a bit more available, I'd have been a bit more prepared!
There are some other hobby-insodents that could have been avoided if info/warnings were more allowable... So you wonder what MY agenda is/was? that's it! I wanted to be able to let the ugly underbelly of this hobby show, so people (primarly myself!) could offer and exchange info and warnings that are REAL without constant harassment and stiffling to keep up appearences! Well, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

Unfortunatly, this seems to "scare" the ladies off the board... Some can't handle the truth, and would rather live in uphoria... If people would stop ACTING against other people, the we could all sit around and sing love songs, but it's all part of the human condition, compounded by the fact that we are a hobby already trying to stay ahead of LE!
We are all horny, I have no plans on stopping feeling horny anytime soon, so I must develop ways to "cope" with the obsticals that stand in the way of me getting relief from my hornyness... Which includes keeping my tracks covered... I've never recomended anyone else do any less!

NOW that we have a board that is raw and honest, people whine and complain saying; "why can't we all just dance around and be happy"? Well, we couldn't before, and haven't been able to at any time in the past, so why are we all suprised that it isn't happening now?
I stand by my opinion that this is better than what we had before... but that's just one mans opinion....

I agree with having open discussion on the board.  The free exchange of information is invaluable.  However some people have a problem discussing matters civilly.  Once people get riled up and start bashing each other, then no information of value is being exchanged and the discussion far too often degenerates into a shouting match whose original purpose is forgotten.

But I think one of the big problems might be the ease of bashing people anonymously; this is one of the biggest advantages - and disadvantages - of the Internet.

How many here people actually know each other?  I'm not talking just email.  I'm talking face-to-face - "shakes their hands, pat them on the back, invite them to join you for a beer" know each other.  So many auditory and visual cues we take for granted are lost in posting on the boards that we can't see those personal boundaries.  What might start off as a light, off-color joke or comment can easily turn into a flame war.

The meet-and-greet could have turned off a lot of those flames, just by actually meeting some of our confederates here.  But given the underlying, pervasive Scandanavian culture of the Upper Midwest, a culture that tends to encourage isolationism, such events might prove difficult.

First time I saw it was 10, 12 years ago.  I was thinking about checking out an AMP downtown, near the Jeunne Lune, but that van sitting across the street from it made the hairs on my neck bristle every time I drove by there.  I seem to remember seeing it on Lake Street, too, once across from the Royal Knight and another time near one near Cedar and Lake.
