Me, I would let a few people know

Lot of great threads for newbies to find there way around, avoid LE, STDs, rip-offs, violence and generally avoid pissing people off. What's the best way for a hobbyist to retire? Should he just go away quietly, do a post on the board, email his favorite ladies?

Ladies, I'd really like to hear from you all on this! When a client quits the hobby, how would you like to be informed? Do you care?

when I don't hear from my favorites in a while, I always am concerned.  That's because several of my ATF's have serious illnesses and have had history of heart disease, cancer, etc so I genuinely worry about them.   Bosco, it would be really nice to know what happens to those who move on.
I say email those you think would like to know or post on a board if you are so inclined.

But that would be done privately.  I can't see any reason to post about it here.

Personally, I'd like to know. Some of you guys I've come to like and respect and would appreciate hearing your reasons etc. for moving on. Also a chance to say good-by or see ya later!

I agree.  I think I would like to know too.  For some strange reason I kind of look forward
to PM's or wacky posts from the handful of hobbyists I've "gotten to know".  If someone
just dropped out of sight, I suppose I'd always wonder why.  My same thoughts hold
true for providers.

I agree with wing and the rest....sometimes you just go to the post cuz of who wrote it and i think it would be nice to know when one of us is moving on whenever that happens ...it is sort of a fraternity here and that is in a good way said.....and i think the board is a good place to say those good byes!

If you have been seeing a provider on a semi-regular basis, I think you could let them know.
But for everyone else no announcement is needed.

who have crossed a line from "just" providers to friends and those ladies would probably appreciate knowing that you were no longer hobbying.  Best to handle privately as we have all seen a big announcement here on this board only to find that person still very active.

Best of luck in whatever you choose!

Kisses and hugs,
Sassy Red;)
