Long drive

How far is too far for you to travel for a session with a provider? Be it time or miles. Are you less likely to take a chance on a provider if you feel she's too far away even if you think she might be a great match for you? Just wondering what others find to be fair.

For me, if I'm traveling upwards of 30 minutes, one way, I feel it's too distant. Vehicle time shouldn't be equal to session time, no?

... how much free time you have.  A 30 minute drive is pretty normal to get across town.  So I have to live with that.  That makes a one hour session a two hour endeavor.    Naturally I have to plan it ahead of time.

I'm pretty well situated along a major artery so, like Jack Bauer in the 24 TV show, I can be just about anywhere in 30 minutes, if I've timed the appointment to avoid rush hour traffic. Also, my other hobby is going to estate sales, so I know the entire metro pretty well by now. And by metro, I mean the 494/694 loop, and a few miles beyond.

My ATF used to have an incall that was way south, about a 45 minute drive, but man, she was so worth it. On the other hand, when I was experimenting with variety in providers, I once drove way the hell out into the country to see a girl. Took me an hour, she was on the creepy side (fetish gear, wouldn't take her boots off because she hated her feet), and the place was so obscure and out of the way, I felt a little nervous. I wouldn't do that again.

I think your number is about right. More than a half hour drive would be a bit out of my comfort zone seeing a new provider, as it suggests you might be going out of the metro area. Number of reviews would be a factor, though. Upwards of 20 glowing reviews, buzz on the boards, I might make a longer trip.

For the most part, I'll drive anywhere within the metro area although if I'm not familiar with her I might not be willing to go to the far side.  I've never seriously considered going outside the metro area.

I pretty much stay west of the river and even try to avoid downtown as much as I can....
It seems the older I get, the more I like to stay with ladies I know, especially those west
of downtown.

It all depends on where you live.   I live outside of the metro area and don't have many options.   So I have driven 2 hours one way for appointments.   So it is all kind of your idea of if it is worth it.    95% of the time for me... it has been worth it.

Pickings are not slim where I live they are non existent I have an ATF almost 3 hours one way so I always spend 2 hours. The drive is all open road thus quite relaxing.

I think you bring up a key point here. That you would travel 45 minutes for an ATF. In that instance, the drive would be absolutely worth it. You know what you're getting into. But not to take a chance on someone new, ya know? If an ATF changed venues farther away that'd be about the only reason, in my mind, to travel that far. If you already live in the metro of course. For out of state clients, it's a different story. Your other point about glowing reviews would also certainly be a factor.

Heightened anticipation followed by relaxation. Nice!

I agree. I think if it was planned out farther in advance that'd be better for both parties.
