Im very interested to know whats going on with the guys in MSP. I've had several calls to meet up and after asking for references they assured me that they would be sending them within 5 minutes.

.... 5 min.. 10 min.. an hour goes by and nothing....

So my question is why do you call and ask am I available only to not send the info I require. This isnt just me I have some friend who say they get calls from guys very interested in meeting and say they'll send their info in soon but nothing ever comes of it.

Now Im extremely picky wth who I decide to see so it makes me no neverhow but it does bother me a bit as this has happened 4 times this trip alone.. So what is it guys? You just trying to gauge availability, just want a peice of coversation, or does something come up that changes your plans?

Im so curious so Id appreciate response from anyone.. Thanks and happy holidays

I think alot of us want discretion and do not want to be bothered with "screening" - even if it is light.  I cerntainly understand your doing so and I would also if I was a provider.  Personally, I just move on if screening becomes too diffucult because I know I can easily find providers that don't screen.

The probelm is your competition on BP and CV lists dozens and dozens of providers that do not require screening.  The tough economy has brought out alot of younger gals that want business real bad and will forego the screening process altogether.

It is very likely your 4 "clients" just moved on themselves.

...don't want to go through screening. Search the messages and you'll find plenty who say they never have/never will.

lots of paranoid guys and guys who want to come over RIGHT AWAY without sending any info.

in my case my internet carrier {comcast} went down from 730 to 1145 pm and then it was just to late and i couldnt access the phone number sorry

1.  Guy doesn't want to listen to a lecture on why screening is mandatory and just says he will to avoid a debte abouit it.
2.  Guy doesn't want to give a reference without approval from the other providers first so they aren't blind-sided.  Its possible that he cannot get hold of the other provider(s)
3. Guy doesn't want the embarassment or potential resentment from telling someone he regulary sees that he wants to see someone else.  Lots of providers get jealous - not in terms of personal feelings but professional possessiveness.  
4.  I would speculate that at least half the hobbyists will not go to the bother of references, including myself.  TER White List and P411 has become the preferred method for me when I encounter this need.  But prior to those options, I simply sought out providers that were comfortable with other security protocols.

. . . if the providers accept that P411 alone is sufficient.  On a couple occasions, I've told a provider (who was on P411) that I'm on P411 with several provider OKs and they've demanded references or some other information anyway.  No thanks.  I've given enough to get approved.

They don't want to be bothered.
They don't have any.
They just jerked off because you answered their call.
They do find someone who doesn't check and they enjoy that risk and thrill.
Your phone number is listed and they never intended to make an appointment anyway.
They are on TER and they think that is enough.  Uncle LEo has profiles on TER.
They think Uncle LEo doesn't work late so why worry about a gal who doesn't ask for references.


I don't mean to insult any of our fine gentlemen on this board but the fact is more "hos" are murdered/disappear than media reports.  It's a dangerous profession for a woman who is alone and vulnerable.  Why do we ask?  Why would we NOT ask?

I'm not one of the 4 and I likely would have told you if I would not or could not provide the info..... If you are one of the minority of Ladies who is easy to talk to on the phone. Remy for example (being she was on this thread), she is easy to understand and intellegent in her conversation as well as patient. She understands how to check a guy out with simple info...  I for one have a hectic schedule and am ussually looking for same day or even pretty short notice (with some exceptions). and I am most likely NOT on nor near a computer. So if I can talk you through getting references by checking my TER whitelist and/or reviews.... And I will try to send a PM through my account so you know it is really me. But if you want more personal info I will move on, and will tell you so, if you are listening.

But the sad truth is that some providers barely have the phone etiquette to set an appointment much less listen to details about references.

I prefer to make a line or two of small talk such as "Hi, how are you today"... "I'm fine, thanks... I saw your ad and was wondering if you are available?" etc.....

I've had ladies answer who are obviously drunk, very tired, or otherwise spaced out. Some who are so mousy and quiet that I can barely hear them, and then there are the just plain rude ones.

I once had a "lady" answer by yelling into the phone "What can I do for you?!" So I said "Hi my name is..... and I was wondering if you would be available for an appointment?" The answer back was an even loader "What can I do for you!!?"..... "Well I saw your ad and was wondering if you are available later this evening?" "YEA, WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU!!!"............ So at that point, I thought well I could reply "Well you can take a shower and dress up nicely in sexy teddy with heels and stocking, meet me at the door with a nice big french kiss followed by pulling me to towards the bed while exposing your tits and then kneel down and start a nice slow wet BBBJ and then proceed.......... Well I just hung up the phone instead.

I saw this article on yahoo and immediately thought of this thread.  Could be the first time that the cause of a scheduling complication discussed here was "front page" news.

I had a long list of things I wanted to get done that evening and they all required internet access.  Sometimes you are just SOL.

Let's say you contacted me for an appt and I email you back saying I would love to spend time with you but would need a provider reference or two.   Would you just automatically say "screw it...another one who wants references!"  and not bother OR would you at least tell me that you have whitelists or P411, etc and offer your handles so I can look into those things?

In that scenario, lets assume you are someone I am interested in since I made the inquiry.  Therefore I will definitely offer those options.  P411 seems to be very satisfactory to most.

But I'm sure there are many who will just move on.
