I'll start by saying I'm new to TER and I'm sure this topic has been discussed.  So why can't people give a heads up if they're running late I don't like waiting in a parked car until they decide to show up.

but it happens frequently not just in this world but in the civy world as well.  Maybe it happens more with lower end, less experienced, and/or the younger ones (great I just became my Dad bitching about that damn younger generation).  I will say doing all that primping and preening takes a lot longer then what you and I have to go through but that certainly doesn't justify not extending a little courteousness and picking up the phone to let us know.  Although I haven't had that problem I do bring a book to read just in case.  The last thing I want is to walk into an expensive get together and be pissed off.  Buzz kill.

Mostly it's because we're all anonymous or nearly so.  There's not much for consequences either when you can change your identity easily.  Sharing information helps.

It should be reported and there should be consequences or else it will just continue. My time is just as valuable as the providers.

And yes, it would be nice if they called but some of them are also lacking in customer service skills.  Wait until you get your first No Call No Show (NCNS).
