So what are thoughts on the propriety of using instant messenger to contact providers or vice versa? I've been in email contact with provider but we haven't been able to meet as of yet due to tech and other issues, thought we have had appointments set. I have her yahoo info and am a contact that way, but not quite sure of acceptance of IM to make appointments. To a degree I feel like its meeting a provider in a public place, unscheduled if that makes sense..Not paying for any time or that to have her chat with me...All I intend is to confirm my last email and hopefully that appointment...Asking primarily so I don't get her pissed at me so we never meet.....

The only person that could answer that question is the lady herself.  If she gave you the IM address, maybe, if not, no way.

So she has not answered your last email, how long have you been waiting for a response?  It's important to remember that these ladies have 2 lives and can get a lot of emails to go through.  It can take time to respond sometimes.  I know when your waiting with high anticipation a day or two seems like an eternity, it does for me anyway.

Well I cut & pasted the IM id off of her email address. I'm trying to be patient (not my best trait) on email response as I realize I'm not her only contact/business...

I log on to Yahoo IM every so often (I’m on it right now). When I first started providing I had an indicator on my website informing others I was on IM. I enjoy using IM because it is an effective way to confirm appointments, as well as chat and get to know someone. I have never considered being paid for my time on IM, if that is what you are asking regarding the provider you reference. If a provider does not state she requires payment to chat with her on IM just accept the fact that she might like to interact with others and IM is an effective avenue to do so. I don’t think she will get pissed if you never meet. Instead, if she sees her talking to you is not going anywhere or screams LE, she just may block your IMs, similar to your emails, calls or texts. I've known a few who used it regularly, including one girl who would return my calls and just ask me to get on IM with her.

Then she gave it to you.  Go for it.

As providers we have to filter out potential clients from time wasters and stalkers really.  

Some are just hunting for sex talk others have wanted to see a girl for awhile but would like to chat a bit first or what have you.  I don't mind convo but when they say
