Forgive me if this question has been asked, which I’m sure it has.  I need some advice on contacting/scheduling a young lady.  She has not posted any specific times where she is available. Is it appropriate to contact her later on in the day or even that evening her only post for the day is in the morning?  Also, what is your feeling on contacting a provider on a day that she doesn’t have a post?  I’ve never seen this provider and am very interested in contacting her.

Again sorry if this question has been asked before, but I’m new to the hobby.

and starting, maybe sticking to reviewed providers, I'm an advocate of Preferred 411 and using that to get pre-screened.  For me, pre-screening is just a lot less stressful.

In that process, a dialog can start where you can ask all your questions directly. It's not the only way, of course, but I think it may be the easiest.

Pre-screening with P411 is one of the best ways to go about getting approved by a provider, imho. It works very well. Also, vorlon is very wise in the ways of the hobby, he gives very good advice. I would take his wisdom, and use it, if I were you.

On TER we can only post 1x every 7 days.  So she is likely available more than just the day she posted.  Do not be afraid to ask her when she is available....maybe email her with a couple days and times your schedule would permit a meeting and go from there.  Communication is key.   Last minute or same day dates are difficult so I would agree with Mark4444....pre-screening is awesome!  P411 is awesome!!

……. we have to find alternate ways.  I know, I know: All reports are that P411 is completely safe, and I don’t doubt the reports’ integrity.  Still, I prefer not to have my personal info out there in any form or fashion (unless it’s my bank or the like).

I prefer e-mailing (or filling out a form on a lady’s Web site) for the initial contact.  This gives me a chance to tell her a little bit about myself, and gives her the chance to read it and reflect on it in private and at her leisure, without the pressure of having to respond immediately on the phone.  

I was fortunate to find two ladies who agreed to see me without references when I was just starting out.  But, we established a little bit of a relationship through our e-mail exchanges, so walking in was not a complete surprise.  I even offered to meet  them the day before in a public place for a 5-10 minute meet-and-greet, just so they could see that I was not a total weirdo, LE, or whatever.   But, they both declined that opportunity, and we just went with the first session.   I’m grateful to them for taking a chance on me.

Lots of ladies advertise that they are “newbie-friendly,” so check for those.  And, stick with TER-reviewed ladies, at least to begin with.  The accumulated wisdom of the ages—or the boards—is right on that front!

I would use that first.  If you don't hear back from her that way after a couple days and her ad or profile provides a phone number I would call her.  If you don't mind some of your personal info
floating around out there then use one of the services like P411 everyone mentions.  Personally I never have and am not interested in having any personal information going to anyone I don't
know and trust.

If so, while some ladies only post on days when they are available, many do not.  However, the bigger issue with Backpages is that many of the ads are posted by less than reputable providers who do such things as use fake pics, provide poor quality service, schedule appointments they don't keep (AKA NCNS), and even blatantly rip would-be clients off.  Of course, these things can also happen with providers advertising on other sites but Backpages is particularly known for it.  At the same time there are many quality providers who use Backpages.

This is where you need to get your VIP membership so you can run searches and read reviews and learn how to search the discussion boards, google phone numbers, and use image search tools like Tineye nd Google Images to help protect yourself.

I hear ya, I would like to get a VIP Membership, but I don't feel comfortable giving my employment information out.  I work in a high profile field and it's just something I don't want to do.  Are there any alternatives that would still allow me to get a VIP Membership?

Maybe because I'm a less risk and I researched, I felt it was fine. Better to give info to one place one time. And the the tipping point for me, on top of their reputation, was that they are out of Canada.

Yes: Post a review.

It's a Catch-22: If you don't want to pay for VIP (security reasons, or whatever), then you can get it by posting a review.  But, of course, you have to see a lady in order to post a review.  And, how to see a lady if you don't have reviews or references or P411?  Dunno.  Like I said in an earlier post, look for "Newbie-Friendly" ads.  I'd troll the TER ads, not the BP ads.  Safer.

Go get a pre-paid credit card and use what ever address you want, doesn't need to be yours.

I don't give my info to multiple people and that they are in Canada means it is not so easy for US LE to get at their database.

That's where the reviews are. P411 is another matter but I am more comfortable with them as they are in Canada.

...some of us will never be a member on P411. You can't be a self employed contractor. And a TER VIP membership means nothing to most gals, it doesn't matter if you post 100 reviews. I've given up on ever seeing those few gals that require my personal info. My situation is unique but I can definitely relate to others that just don't want to give out that info.

So what do I do? Just what you're starting to do. Network with other hobbyists, get a feel for the ones you can relate to in terms of interests and tastes, then watch for who they visit.

Get a TER VIP membership, the email alone is worth it.

I can think of 4 women out there I'd LOVE to visit, but I can't get past the screening.

...still leaving an electronic trail that I don't want to leave.  Maybe I'm overly paranoid, but nothing I've put out there in terms of e-mail address, hobby phone, TER handle, etc., has any link to my "real" life.  I prefer to keep it that way.

I'd be happy to pay for TER VIP, if I could do so anonymously.  But, every pay option I've seen requires a home address or some other identifying data.  Am I missing something?

Back to P411, there is a way around the work info issue. I just "chatted" with them:

"Basic Plus - is verification by provider references. To sign up with provider references only, you must have at least two impeccable references from well known and established providers ...

new clients with at least two established provider information would be able to forgo the employment screening"

as opposed to:

"Basic - is by employment verification only. First we make sure that the business is legitimate and then we make sure that you work there, and is the same person who is signing up."

Thanks.  I'll have to check out that option.  Seems like I did check once, and it seemed like I did need "real" info.  But, maybe I just mis-read things.

Part of finding the right ladies to see is finding one's whose screening requirements are compatible with what you are OK letting them know.

No ID or other personal info needed if paying with Trust Cash.  Go to their website, print out page with their acct info, bring to a Wells Fargo near you, fil out depsot slip, hand the teller the cash.  Within a couple hours they had already processed my payment and I was VIP.

Are they the only bank to use?  Or Is Wells Fargo a synonym for "any bank"

If I recall correctly when I was on their site a map came up that listed all the local banks to make the deposit at and they were all Wells Fargo branches.
