LOL....he's an alias.  He won't get any takers!!  None of us can PM an alias even if we wanted to.   In my opinion, if an ad is painfully hard to read just skip it and go on to the next.  You will find a gem with the look you desire, great reviews and maybe even some knowledge of good grammar!

Have a fantabulous weekend everyone!!   I am in a terrific mood today!

I am continually surprised by the spelling and grammar errors contained within provider ads.  If the provider's intent is to present herself in the most favorable manner, these errors should be corrected.

I am not a genius, by any means, but I have a job that requires me to have writing skills, and I use them every day.  If you are a provider and would like to have me proofread your ad and suggest changes and/or corrections, PM the address of your ad to me and I will review it for you.  I will then send you my suggestions that you can follow, or ignore.

There is no charge or expectation, on my part, for doing this service for you.  The only requirement is that you ask me.

I'll do it for half of his price!  :-)

And I will do it for free because then I will be able to actually read those ads.

because it would have been the pot calling the kettle black.

Part of my job for 30 years was coherent and polished writing and I did it well. But I regularly look back at board posts and emails I have written and find cringe-making errors. Part of it, I think, is a word processor trying to choose the "right" word for me, and I didn't notice. Part of it is sloppiness. But I really don't mind very much. I prefer a casual and conversational tone in this board, and also in the ads I see here and the web sites I visit. If the tone is friendly and inviting, I don't care about a few spelling errors or sketchy grammar. Of course, if the message becomes lost or incoherent, that's different. But on the few occasions I've tried to converse with a lady and realized she could not possibly have written the text of the web site/ad that attracted me, I actually felt sort of mislead.

One of the Mods posted a rant on, I think, the General Discussion Board stating he would no longer countenance posts that use texting abbreviations or other incoherencies. Was that Puck? I don't recall. When someone mentioned this new "rule" in the Porn Star Board the Mod quickly jumped in to say he set no such standard. Seems its a very subjective thing.

Agencies, which earn their compensation by presenting their clients in the best possible light, should be held to a much higher standard. I've seen a few agency ads that left me wondering why a woman would want to pay anything to such a bozo. But that's rare, too.

I mean no disrespect to TCP, though I doubt he'll get many takers for his offer. He's not wrong. But apart from some of the posts on backpage, and formerly craigslist, I don't think it's much of a problem.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearchr at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are in; the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh?

Just kidding though.  I'm turned off by ads with poor grammer and spelling also and would be less likely to contact that person versus the gal with the articulate, well written ad with properly spelling.

The truth is if the ad shows so little effort to get it right then I'm thinking it is likely that lack of effort will also b there for whomever shows up for the session.

I agree.  If the spelling and grammar is really poor, I will not call them.  My feeling is if they don't much thought into their add, they won't put much thought into our seesion.
But some of the guys out there can't throw to many stones.  I don't have the greatest writing skills, but a lot of the reviews are very poorly written.  Maybe they just have to slow down and reread what they wrote before they hit the send button.

...probably the majority of escorts don't have a solid education. Now I'm not knocking them all or forgetting the ones who do have an education, but being a grammar or spelling b queen is not a "skill set", remember? Sucking dick to perfect with or without a condom is a "skill set". haha...but you can't really expect them to know perfect grammar. Some of the real college grad escorts make mistakes. So while I agree that some of the oUTragOus spelin has ta go, don't a grammar nazi. You're a hobbyist here to fuck the escort, not talk to her, remember? And when you peruse sites for bargains all the time, what do you expect?

You get what you pay for.

I personally would rather the providers in question not have a proofreader, this is why.

When I see an ad that is full of blatant spelling and grammatical errors it tells me that the provider is most likely not going to be very mentally stimulating. Granted I am not going to see a provider to discuss quantum physics, but when I arrive and have to converse with someone who communicates with me via ghetto trash talk, hillbilly (I am not referring to a southern accent or drawl here)or valley girl slang it really is a downer.

Poorly worded ads help to weed out those providers that I do not believe would be compatible with the qualities I seek in a provider. A proofreader might help the providers bottom line but you may find a lot more dissatisfied Johns, Jacks, Steves...
