I believe it's because it's an alias....

...for fun, I ignored everyone on page 1 recently (except Morris, of coarse) to see what it would look like. I found that you can't ignore an alias unless you know the alias' board handle. Then, if you ignore the person's board handle, their alias will also be ignored.

I do like that people can have an alias but some people just use them to be naughty......and not the good kind either. haha.

4. troll
Someone who is purposefully posting on a forum/messageboard/site for the sole aim to irritate the regular members

5. troll (Morris & alter ego Wadzilla)
A dumbass who makes idiotic posts in message boards newsgroups for the sole purpose of pissing people off, often lacking in intelligence. Sometimes compared to people who pass you by on the sidewalk then grab you in inappropriate places.

I have ignored my own handle and all my alias posts were not ignored. I also tried it with a handle where I know his alias  and the posts by the handle were ignored but all the alias posts were still there.

...which now makes it so you can't ignore alias posts. You will notice that when you view a post by an alias, there is no 'ignore user' tab there. That's a very recent change. Posts by one's board handle still have that feature. When I did my initial research on an alias post, I hit the 'ignore user' tab and then returned to the forum and found, unlike with a board handle, the post was still there. WTF?!, I asked myself and then realized that if I went to a post by the alias' board handle, ignored that and went back to the alias post, the alias post was then duly ignored. If I had tried to ignore an alias post and discovered that alias posts have no 'ignore user' tabs, I would have posted something like, "hey folks, have you noticed that alias posts have no 'ignore user' tabs? But that didn't happen so it helps prove my point. Now, I am a man of science and before any of my findings are published, they are subjected to intense peer review where the methodology is scrutinized and criticized and accepted or rejected. In this case, my research was reviewed and accepted by my peers (thanks again, Morris!) and it will stand the test of time unless overturned by vorlon.
