Actually their are many different types of wigs. I have friends that have their wigs sewn down to braids so that if you pulled on it, it wouldn't come off. Some ladies use wig glue or tape and have it attached to the scalp in the front and clips in the back.

When America was young slavery didn't exist; it was indentured servitude for a period of years. It was actually a black man who sued the federal government in the late 1600's to keep his slaves indefinitely and that they were actually treated only as property. Wealthy blacks actually owned some of the largest slave plantations in America and could own slaves. Something that many overlook today when they blame whites solely for slavery.
