Women ... and men being diagnosed with this is on the rise..
This is a cause near and dear as I am myself coming up on being a 6 year survivor..
Mine are fake cause my real ones tried to kill me .. *In 2013, an estimated 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 64,640 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. *About 2,240 new cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed in men in 2013. A man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000. Its happens in women under 40 , I was diagnosed when I was 28 This is a great time to have your annual mammogram and its also a reminder that you should be doing your personal checks every month.. IT a great time to celebrate how awesome Breasts are by making sure yours are in tip top health..
This is also a great time to get your partner, friends, girlfriends, lovers to participate in the checking by asking your favorite person to "Feel you up" Id also like to encourage donating to your local organizations who help women who are going through this shitty disease.. There is tons of money out there for research and awareness but there is a lack of organizations that actually help women financially with bills, medical costs, and financial support.. Ive included a link to one of my favorite charities..
My Hope Chest,, they are this wonderful organization that helps women with the financial costs of reconstruction.. so women who have had to go through the harrowing experience of having Breast Cancer can have beautiful breasts again .. Its a wonderful cause for wonderful reasons. But please make sure to take the time this month and do your checks and encourage others to do the same
