Last week i posted an amazing discount on my services for in call for the week. after contacting me through pm and text messages for a couple days, this fella and I spoke on the phone and set up an appointment. just a couple hours before the sceduled appointment this guy asks me if i can drive about 15-20 mins to him for the in call rate. being the softy that i am, i say yes. then just 30 mins before the scheduled time he text me no less,,,a picture of himself and tells me he is $60 short of what was a great discount to begin with! wow! when i had the chance to book with someone else instead! That is why sometimes booking with a new client IS risky as to if they will show up or not. but being that he was a member on here, i did not think he would try a shmuck move like that. guess i was wrong! a friend of mine who advertises also on this board from time to time says she NEVER runs specials or agrees to bargining with clients because it is a good way to weed the serious ones from the bullshitters. i feel running specials now and then is a good way to give regulars who see me a break on the prices, and new fellas a chance to "try me out". after all, in this ecomony we can all use a break! But when i offer a GREAT special and then get bs'd around and insulted like that....it makes me wonder if she is right!?!
so fellas please, not only is it rude, but i dont think it is a proper way to deal with the ladies. . we have the right to set our own prices, and stick with those. when you come along and try to bargin with the prices, it is frustraing and its not fair to expect that from the lady. i expected better from a guy who is a member on here.
It makes it difficult to ask my published rates afterward. It's like shopping at Kohl's. Do you ever pay full price for items there? I don't, because they're always running 'specials'!
My thinking is....his isn't Kohl's, and sorry, I'm not "on sale" today or tomorrow. Those guys who ask for discounts can shop somewhere else, it's disrespectful to even bargain with us. Well, that's how I look at it, anyway, Selena. If you're confident that you provide the quality services that your rate reflects....I hope you stick to it.
I have learned over time that more often than not all that happens is those that take a lady up on specials only call when the lady is running another special. Or if the lady is not advertising a special, they call & ask "what kind of special have you got for me today?" I have plenty of gents on my DNS list as a result of these two examples. Sort of defeats the whole purpose?!
Now the only specials I offer are pre-book discounts when I am traveling, & the typical $25 off 1st appt. for board members, & verification site members. It only takes a few bad seeds.......
I agree having specials just increases call volume not so much revenue. Even if I give a discount the majority of visitors leave the normal gift + more for me anyway.
I KNOW I don't have the word special(s) written in/on any part of my ads but because (depending on the website i use) the majority of the other girls are running them/have the word somewhere in their ads so they I assume I do for some reason like leaving out the word special(s) in my ad was some kind of a mistake lol. Terrible.

You can say that again. It seems to be happening alot. I think that it is because some girls are letting it happen. They do it once and then the clients think that it is ok to do it to others. Or some are just that cheap... So ladies just stick to your rates... Don't low ball your self because you feel that you need to...
Nobody working in any field would be able perform with any enthusiasm given a suprise pay cut. I know that f I went to my work tomorrow and found out my compensation was being significantly chopped I'd turn and walk out. Some people are just asses...
...and I'm sure you already know this about male clients; whenever they say they can't afford your rates or are a little short, they're lying. They could come up with the necessary funds if they chose to. He was just being mean and manipulative.
